Bill's Carpet Center — Attraction in Town of Henrietta

I found this business on Google. I went in and spoke with salesman Taylor. I walked through the sales floor picked out the flooring I was interested in and I then scheduled a time for him to come out to complete an assessment of my needs. I asked that if I chose to go with them for service could this be done by Thanksgiving. I was told yes. Mr. Taylor then told me he would provide me the pricing for the flooring and that the job would need to be paid in full to get the project in motion. A few days later he told me the price and he encouraged me to have matching trim down which I agreed to. I then received a call that another gentleman would be coming out to look at the job. This gentleman came out viwed the job and left. My life is extremely busy so quite a long time passed and I heard nothing from them so I sent an email to Mr. Taylor asking what was going on as Thanksgiving was coming and if the job couldn't be done I needed a refund of my money and I would go with another company. That day I heard from a young lady that told me that the job would start Thursday and most likely end Monday I asked what happened to the one day process maybe two ? Then I was told the installers would come through Thursday afternoon I arrived home to find them sitting outside telling me that their schedule had been modified without their knowledge. They started around 11:30ish and they had to leave early as they had a wedding to attend. The floor in the kitchen was left 3/4 ripped out. They arrived early Friday and worked all day until I returned home from work. Let me back up I had to rush and move things and unplug things as everything seemed to be a liability I was frustrated as if I had been told in advance what to move it would have been taken care of in time for them to do their job. I did call and complain the Mr. Taylor and the response was thank you for telling me this information. I then asked them about the trim being done in the hallway which is very small and I was told that it wasn't covered in the current work order but it could be added. I think personally it should have been done at the expense of the company for the way this job went down . The installers put a hole in my wall but did a great job repairing it I'm glad I had paint left over from the paint job i had done earlier this past summer it saved them money . The finished job is beautiful but the manner in which this job was completed was not stellar and they did nothing to compensate me for how they dropped the ball with the timing of the install. If I had not called my floor would not have been completed by the promised time frame of in time for Thanksgiving. I gave them three stars due to the poor professionalism of the company . If you are looking for a full-service, customer-centered, and outstanding experience in replacing flooring (of any kind) in your home, you have to see Dave at Bill's Carpet and Furniture. I rarely write reviews, but Dave has just been so great and has gone above and beyond- not only in terms of selling and ordering the LVT and carpet- but ensuring the job was completed to my satisfaction and that I was informed and updated from start to finish. I really can't say how grateful I am for Dave as a first time home-owner who really needed to update the flooring (and lots of guidance)! He has just been so awesome- I shopped around several places, and no one was anywhere near as helpful, responsive, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, or reliable. He is always respectful of my values and priorities, and I always felt like a VIP in the store. Dave always offered me water or coffee, or assisted me with carrying out (or in) samples from the store. He also always replied to my calls or messages in a very timely manner. I can easily say Dave has been the easiest and most professional person to work with since I have purchased this new home. He came out to my home and took all the measurements and provided sound advice and a great price. The store hours at Bill's were by far the most accessible of any in the area for someone like me who works 40+ hours a week. Melanie was very helpful and courteous in helping set up the tear out and installation times (which they accommodated as separate dates for me so I could have some of the subfloor repaired). Ricky and his team did a solid job on the install, and Dave also was very involved in facilitating and taking care of some things that came up on the install day so that everything was very easy for me. He later called and made sure I was satisfied with the result and answered my many questions about maintenance and care. He then checked in again several days later to see if I was still happy. I can't say enough great things about Dave, and about Bill's, and I love my new carpet! I can't say enough good things about my experience with Jerry and flooring installer Sean from Bill’s Carpet Center. They recently completed a full tear-out and new installation of my bathroom floor, and the results are absolutely flawless.

This wasn’t just any job—there were five layers of old flooring to remove, including the bottom-most layer of mosaic tile set in a thick 2-inch mortar and mesh bed. It was a huge, labor-intensive job that would have scared off a less experienced crew, but Sean handled it like a true professional. His attention to detail, skill, and work ethic were exceptional. He made sure every layer was properly removed and prepped before the new flooring went in, and the final product looks amazing. Jerry included all new base trim along with the flooring package, my choice of three different styles, and professionally painted at the showroom in my choice of color! Sean installed the trim with the same consideration as the flooring, and the final result is nothing short of stunning.

Jerry was fantastic to work with as well—knowledgeable, communicative, and helpful every step of the way. He made sure everything ran smoothly and stayed on schedule, and offered great advice when it came to choosing materials and finishes.
