Original review: This review is just based on the billiard tables, not on the food and beverages There are no American pool tables inside, they have Chinese pool tables (I don’t think that most people will be able to tell the difference). It is not a drawback, it is a feature: it is the only place in Rochester where one can play Chinese pool and snooker. The snooker table does not have enough equipment. First, the table is 12ft long and reaching some shots is not possible with a standard sized cue. The lack of extensions makes some shots unplayable. One expects to have longer rests and telescopic cue extensions available. Second, sometimes it is required to reach over several balls while playing with a rest. Therefore, a “spider” and “extended spider” is a standard equipment for a snooker table. Third, snooker players expect to have the X-shaped rests at both short rails. They are not available. In general, one expects to have at least one rest (bridge) for each table. It does not seem to be the case for the Chinese pool tables. The lack of equipment is the main reason for the 3 stars.

I’m aware that some might think that my comments are too detailed, but the competition in Rochester are some of the best pool halls in upstate New York, and Kings Billiards is on the expensive side. Therefore, one expects value...

If I could give this place no stars that would be awesome because it is absolutely a dive when it comes to being considered a billiard Hall. The floors are falling apart and are filthy, the bathrooms are less than adequate, the drink selection is terrible, the atmosphere is cold and uninviting, and all the tables are unlevel and the pool balls are not even up to code. If I were you I would not waste one dime at this place and it's worth the drive to go to some other place such as Diamond billiard Hall which I highly recommend been there several times with no complaints to the point where we were enticed to actually purchase a pool stick there and got to know the owner personally who was always on the floor and making sure everyone was taken care of and having a great time. This is not a billiards hall by any means. It’s big, lots of pool tables, and games but don’t let that fool you. It’s a party hall for college kids. It’s cleaner then a dive bar, but not by far. A giant connect 4 game on a pool table made me feel disgusted what I walked into. The pool tables are not level, and the rack of balls we were given to play with were beat. The cue ball was so beat up it hopped when rolled across the table. The house sticks were beat, no tips, and laying on the ground.

Paying $15 a person was joke. East Ridge Billiards charges the same and cares way more about the game, service, and customer.

The staff was more concerned about drinking and taking shots with the patrons or their friends then giving good service. The lead bartender was scene on the dance floor, rather then behind the bar.
