This is a great place to experience the Jet Ride near Niagara Falls. Reservation in advance is suggested as they do the rides on scheduled time only. Depends on the day, they have one or more scheduled times. They've clear information on their website.
Lot of parking but need to walk to the entrance from parking. Once entered, they clearly labeled the directions to reach the reception. By giving our card (credit/debit) which we used to at the reservation time, they validate the reservation and confirm. They do keep the forms on a table where we need to fill some personal information and sign the same to confirm that they are not responsible for any problems.
After that, they give tags to tie on hand and take us outside sitting area which is open, where they explain about the ride, do's and don'ts etc. Need to wear water suitable sandals, if we don't have one, we can purchase there which is pricy, so better to go with sandals on. Once that is done, they take us near the boat and while going, they give us Life Jackets and the Poncho to wear. We can wear the poncho or not but if climate is not good, they will mandate that. Life jacket is mandatory.
Everybody will be standing in a queue. For each family they take picture, which we can buy after completing the ride including the video recording of the ride.
Once picture is taken, they will make us sit in the boat based on the weight/age etc. Kids are not allowed to sit in first 2 rows in open top boat ride. Elder people are also suggested to sit in back rows. First 2 rows, we'll completely get drenched in water and it'll be very thrilled ride.
They start the boat after boarding everyone. One person to guide and one captain will be in the boat. The guide keeps explaining about the place & spots while riding. Total ride time is exactly 45 minutes. They start and finish the ride on time.
Once ride is finished, the life jackets should be returned. We can keep poncho. They've dress change rooms. Upstairs they've for Women, and downstairs where we give back the life jackers they've room for men. Clear labels are maintained. Restrooms are also...
Read more2nd time we have done it and surely a can't miss adventure in the Niagara Falls area. We have done the enclosed boat both times, a lot of fun and not at all any less of an adventure; in fact we laugh when the walls of water douse those hardy souls out in the open 2 rows that are available on enclosed boat. This is the same boat that runs from Canadian side at 1 pm, runs at 11:30 am from American side. Not sure of any other hours. The boats are shared between sides so same experience on either. Get your tickets ahead of time.
Inside you stay totally dry, one difference from last time is that the side windows don't raise up like last time since it is a newer boat. I fear I have to do outside next time as my youngest wants to. One thing to know is kids under 18 can't sit outside in front rows on enclosed boat but can ride the totally open boats. If outside, wear bathing suits and/or prepare to have to change after. They have changing rooms. Free parking is across street, looks like nice restaurant next door. You need to go down stairs to get to office but loading area has ramp around side where cars going to private docks drive.
Finally, people are great, our driver and "tour and cheerleading expert", mean that in a good way, were really instrumental in making it even more fun. I highly recommend this and it is well worth the scenic drive along the river. You pass by an aquarium and also Devil's Hole State Park. The town where the jet boats are is also really nice to check out, they had part of their main street closed for a festival, seems to be a...
Read moreNot worth purchasing the digital video/picture package. It is of the whole boat and not just your group and if your in the back or towards the back you can barely see yourself in the video because its taken from the front of the boat. I saw a camera in the middle and in the front of the boat. I figured we were going to be good since the middle of the boat camera was for us people in the back. Nope! The front camera did most of the job and so the front end of the boat people look great in the pictures and video, but not us in the back who purchased this. When I called the office to ask about this concern, staff didn't seem too understanding and said they have no control over where someone is going to sit. I understand that but at least if you know who purchased what, can try to accommodate people seating wise for the best recording section. And when you get the photos, it is of everyone. Why do I want a picture of everyone as selfie picture? Overall, We did get soaked and kids did have fun!. However it was only about 20 MINUTES of water getting wet fun. The first part of the trip was getting there and then the last half was coming back. Total 45 minutes, but I think it was less because we were already off the boat and taking our life jackets off at the 45 minute mark. I looked at my watch. For what the price is per person and the digital package, I expected more. Have been on one of these jet boats tour excursions before in another state so can compare and see the difference. Because of the scenery and kids getting soaked...
