No longer a fan. I used to enjoy this place but Iām officially over it. Firstly the session is 50 minutes not 60. That kinda frames my whole problem i feel like this place is nickel and dimeing me. Every last time I have gone in for a facial for 2 years they add services to my facial that I āneedā. Why in 2 years is their facial not good enough EVER to be sufficient. For once I just wanted to go in for a facial and pay the cost of the facial. The last time I was charged for the Diamond whatever itās called. While they did tell me it would be extra I didnāt realize it would be $140..more the facial. If your facial CONSTANTLY needs upgrades it isnāt a good facial. Last time they told me AFTER they ran my credit card itās %3 percent extra for credit cards. Iāve asked that 1 million times and they always said it was the same price. Just a hassle cheap experience. Iām going to ever body in Scarsdale now. No extra add ons shoved down your throat and no gratuity required. To be clear Iām a bit tipper but itās nice to have that all included and just have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was disappointed with my massage. I paid for a 60 minute massage to begin at 2pm. I arrived at 1:50pm. The therapist didnāt come to the waiting room until 2:05 to welcome me in. I laid down on the bed at 2:08. The massage ended at 2:52. I didnāt want the therapist to feel embarrassed or awkward so I didnāt tell her personally I was disappointed with the length of the massage as it was 44 minutes. I told the front desk as I was signing out. The woman at the front desk who told me āprep timeā is included with the message, but 16 minutes of prep? Firstly, this was not communicated to me upon purchase. It was marketed as $139 for a 60 minute massage, secondly, I have had numerous 60 minute massages where the clock didnāt start until the massage actually started. Even with āprep timeā, a 44 minute massage really does not seem fair as I arrived with plenty of time before the appointment. The fact that no one even responded to my email is even more disappointing. I feel taken...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe staff was very welcoming and professional, unfortunately the massage itself was a bit of a disappointment. I came in for a prenatal massage (and before getting prenatal massages I am familiar with and often get regular massages at other well known establishments). The massage therapist was nice, but I was not convinced she actually knew how to give a prenatal massage. I asked a couple of times to lessen her pressure as I did feel her pushing a little too hard. Also, she had me on my back for longer than I was used to for a prenatal massage. I am familiar that massages may be listed as "1 hour" but on the table it's for 50 minutes... at this place, the massage therapist started at 2:10 and ended at 2:45. Honestly a disappointment since it was my first time trying out Hand & Stone. I most likely wouldn't recommend this...
