I’ve been here at least 3 times with different groups of friends and by myself. Not once was the food anywhere near as good as what everyone makes it out to be, and everyone I’ve been there with agrees. I went and got different meals each time thinking “maybe what I got last time was just a fluke”. I keep wanting the food be be great; I mean, it’s been voted 4X best bbq of Westchester, right? I’m not trying to hate on the place, it’s such a cute spot that seems very promising. I have no complaints about pricing—bbq is a process, so those of you complaining about overpricing are clearly out of your element. The food looks so appetizing online, and the beer selection isn’t boring like other places (it isn’t exactly phenomenal either), but my biggest problem is that I have yet to get ANY food (burger, wings, brisket, etc) that has made me want to order it again. In fact, every time I go, I tell myself I’m never going back, but I end up giving it another chance quickly feeling disappointed time and time again. I never do this with any other restaurant I’ve been to. Even now, I’m still willing to try the New Ro location hoping that I’ll see a positive difference. Why do I do this to myself? Honestly, I’m wanting to be wrong about the place because it has some reminiscence of the spirit you find in NYC. We’ll just have to see if the New Ro site changes my mind on the food or simply reinforces my disillusionment. Either way, I’ll probably update this review one more time (last review was 2 stars, but after my third visit I...
Read moreTo me they don't have much to choose from fir appetizers as well as main menu. I saw sliders that I may have ordered under appetizers & brisket empanadas; I ordered the empanadas and they were delicious. They also came with a white garlicky sauce that was delicious as well. I didn't need the sauce to eat the empanadas but I dunked the empanadas in it anyway because the sauce was tasty. For the meal I didn't really see much for me except i think a burger then there was a steak sandwich that had cheese on it and it was between 2 pieces of garlic bread with aujus. The aujus was too sweet for me and the bread didn't taste like garlic bread which is why I picked this sandwich because how can you go wrong with steak in garlic bread? The steak wasn't seasoned at all because the sandwich was so bland but I had the garlicky white sauce leftover so I put that on it. The only thing that I thought was great were the empanadas. They had chicken wings but I didn't like those or the sauce they had for it. They had 3 sauces 1 was agave sauce which of course was a sweet sauce, bama white sauce and another sauce I forget the name which was supposed to have a kick. The drum sticks looked huge which I dont like then the inside had a reddish tinted which I couldn't tell if it was coloring on the chicken or the chicken wasn't cooked well. I would go just to get the empanadas and they have ribs for dinner but at this point I don't feel confident that I would like them depending on the...

Was searching the area looking for a new place to try and came upon this place. Looked interesting and I wanted to try it - was glad I did.
The menu is smaller, but enough and great choices. I settled on the brisket empanadas for an appetizer. I honestly could've eaten a bucket of these as they were that good. The 'nada sauce was fine, but you don't need it either.
They have a good drink selection and had Mexican Coke (and Sprite)! If you haven't ever tried Mexican Coke, I'd strongly recommend it. Superior to American Coke for sure.
For the main course, I went with the reliable burger - in this case, the 'house double'(w/ a side). I added bacon, because why not. Burger was very tasty and something I'd easily have again, though there were enough options on the menu that I'd also love to try.
Alana was excellent. Friendly, welcoming, attentive, and a pleasure. Simply outstanding all around.
The place is small, but comfortable. 3 booths and several tables - a bar if you want to sit there. Several TVs as well.
There is another location in New Rochelle (the first one actually).
Parking is metered street. There is a 2 hour limit on the meters (that only accepts quarters), so make sure you keep track. There's also an app, but I didn't download it.
Place is nice and one I intend to return to. If you're in the area, I'd definitely...
