The Key To Escape — Attraction in Town of Minoqua

Had a great experience at this little Escape Room in the northwoods; what a gem! The place is in the basement of a shopping center and they maximize the space with the Escape Rooms and an awesome indoor mini-golf course! That thing looked smoking - we did not play - but will be back for that in and of itself!

Okay, so once you get downstairs there’s someone to greet you and get you going. My family was greeted and introduced to everything by a nice young man named Luke. Let me tell you something about Luke; what an excellent representative for your business or operation. Engaging, super friendly, knows how to feel out personalities of a group; Luke made the experience even better. Props to him. He walked us through the scenario, answered questions, and really wanted to be sure we had a great experience (we shared our previous family Escape Room didn’t go so well beforehand).

The room was challenging, inventive, and so much fun! We did the Uncle Andy’s Fishing Cabin, I believe, “uncle bait my hook” for clues lol, I think that was our saying for clues. It was a fun escape room, I don’t want to give away the puzzles but there were some I hadn’t experienced before but all in all, a great hour of self-induced stress with a fantastic host in Luke. Highly recommend! We’ll be back for sure, there’s multiple rooms to Escape and I wanna minigolf...

Highly recommended! This was the third escape room I’ve completed, and it was by far the best designed. The other rooms I’ve played (elsewhere…I’ve only played once here) had points where there was nothing for some of our teammates to do, which leads to people standing around feeling useless. The design of the mad doctor’s lab had enough puzzles to complete at the same time that no one ever felt left out. Rather than having to go A to B to C in the puzzles, we could work on different elements that later came together. This is GREAT design!! The story was also excellent (creepy and mysterious) and the props that moved the narrative forward were unique and well paced. There were also well placed detractors to try and throw us off the case! We beat the room with zero clues and loved every minute of working together. The best part was talking with Nick after we finished. His passion for escape rooms and the puzzles he created was apparent and much appreciated. First time Escapers and we had a blast! Uncle Ande's Cabin was the perfect first experience for us. Definitely makes you think and uses all sorts of games/tasks/riddles to find the clues. I thought escape rooms were repetitive involving the same type of task to find more clues. Boy was I wrong! Your group could be each working on different tasks/clues and not even realize it right away. Will definitely return for other rooms in the future!

Oh and they have mini golf!! Stay for a round of golf! The course is bigger than you think. Not all can be seen from the check in desk.
