It’s a tourist town and I get that. We did have fun here but be careful where you park! We found a spot, paid for parking , even asked a police officer to be sure we were parked in an ok spot. We went out and did the typical tourist stuff and came back to our vehicle with an hr to go on our paid parking only to find a parking ticket on our vehicle. I immediately went to the police station which was within sight distance of our parking spot and was told that you could only park there till noon (the ticket was issued at 12:23) on this particular day and that there were “signs posted everywhere”. The sign was on the opposite side of the street and another sign more than a block away. Also, we had two other cars parked immediately behind us with New York plates that were not ticketed and we had just left the van less than 10 minutes before and had seen a officer not 20 ft from us. If we were in violation why not just let us know instead of waiting till we walked away and giving us a $50 fine. Be cautious everyone this feels a bit like a trap to get more $ from out of state tourists.
