Hobby Lobby — Attraction in Town of Wallkill

Honestly…just go to At Home or Home Goods

I try to shop here because they have Christian beliefs, but apparently that means treating your customers like trash.

I went to purchase several items ALL in an area that said “wall decor 50% off” At the register I was informed that the items were all full price and if I read the price tag I would have seen that the tag says gift and that’s excluded.

If the items were excluded why did an employee tell me they were 50% off? If the items were excluded why were they on a wall with marketing that says all wall decor 50% off?

The employee also told me the items weren’t wall decor…I’ll post a picture and someone can be the judge for me.

I called corporate after I asked to speak with the manager on duty and over the open walkie she said “no I won’t be going up there to speak with her.”

Corporate told me “sorry to keep it fair for all customers we aren’t going to honor anything for you. Next time read the ads”

Terrible service and...

A nice and clean store, well stocked with craft supplies and a variety of decorations for your home; I wasn't expecting the latter and plan to return to explore. The floor employees aren't very knowledgeable and don't speak English well, and there are no aisle signs or obvious organization, so you may be forced to hunt for specific items (if you have conversational Spanish you may fare better than I did.) Love this store but they got rid of the 40% coupons which is the big draw. The return and payment here is so slow and antiquated. If you make a return for a five dollar item you have to call a manager (give me a break, what a waste of everyone's time). I would give it 2.5 stars but that's not an option. The management comes off as stand-offish and the man in the framing area always looks at me like he thinks I'm going to steal something though I'm a semi regular customer and you would think he would remember that.
