After walking into Emmys bridal and Antoinette bridal and was helped and treated with respect plus great customer service; we made the mistake of walking in here. My mother and my best friend came in on a Saturday afternoon and only one girl was working in the shop and was on her phone at the counter and didn't get off of it and just said "hi" nothing more. No how are you, what brings you in, how can I help, no customer service at all. You'd think that would of been a perfect chance for her to let us know they were doing things by appointment right? No. I proceeded to look through all the racks which took some time and only had one gown I was interested in. I picked it up and asked if I could please try it on and that's when she decided to finally talk to us. "You can go online to schedule an appointment to try it on." I said it can't try this on today? "No that's our policy, appointment only. I don't have the time to help you try it on." I said I don't need your help trying it on, it was a long gown with a zipper and I had two other people with me. I was still denied access to the fitting room and was told again to schedule an appointment. As someone who works in retail customer service service as well, this was completely rude and unacceptable. I completely understand and comprehend that some businesses are doing things by appointment, but this was not how to handle it. Modern on Market is the place to go when you are looking to find “the one” wedding dress for your big day! All of the staff is wonderful (especially Olivia and Ashley)! I knew that this was the first stop I wanted to make when dress shopping and it did not disappoint. I was scheduled for 1.5 hours and ended up being there around 2ish. I kept apologizing for being there longer than my appointment and understood if I needed to leave or have a new stylist but Olivia kept assuring me I could and should take my time finding the one! All of the dresses I tried on were gorgeous! I did find one in particular that I fell in love with and have plans to purchase! The boutique is just the right size to feel comfortable and filled with beautiful dresses, of all price ranges and styles, and wonderful girls to make you feel beautiful in anything. I bought my wedding dress from here last year, and from the start there were issues. I was told the dress would be shipped directly to my house, as I live in a different state, and when I called to check in several months later I was told that it would be shipped to their store and I would need to pay separately to have them ship it to my house (not what we discussed upon purchasing). Then, when my dress finally came in, it was one size too small. My weight did not fluctuate at all since my visit, and I specifically remember the sales associate stating that I measured in between two sizes, and she elected to order the size down. When I called to inquire about changing this, I was told by the sales associate that sometimes as women we “bloat”. I ended up spending over $1,000 additionally in alterations to make my dress fit.
