0/5 stars. After a long day my friend and I were looking for somewhere to eat we've never had before. Unfortunately it was around 10:00 and not a lot of places stay open that late anymore. My friend has a baby that just turned 2 and we were unsure if this was a regular bar and grill we could eat at. We called before coming and a member of the staff said that normally after 10 they don't have anyone young but because he was a baby that she said it should be fine for us to go ahead and come get some food. After trying to find our way there we were told to wait outside because they were trying to have a woman with her several children who were acting up leave. The bouncer even said it should be fine once she leaves. After patiently waiting we finally got inside just to receive hateful staredowns from the bartender while we tried to look at a menu. Granted the place was pretty busy with people ordering drinks and loud music, however since we had not been there previously we were unsure of the atmosphere of the bar and grill(again this is why we called ahead) although we were at a table away from everyone else. The bouncer that told us we could come in was outside and another employee decided to come up and tell us that we would have to order our food to go because the bartenders didn't want us there with a baby (confirming the rude looks we were receiving from the bartenders).
At this point my friend and I are pretty hangry and irritated. We would have loved to have tried the food and although I understand the rules a place of business, That was the exact reason we called ahead. Whoever we spoke to should have been more clear and not had us waste our time. We were embarrassed and looked like ignorant fools being told we had to leave after all of that. Your staff should do better. Especially for a new customers. We were unaware of just how much of a "bar" This bar and grill was since neither of us had ever been to one before. Once again, hence why we called ahead to ask. We would not have even tried to come if they had told us it would have been any sort of issue on the phone. Considering I had plenty of $ to spend that was a loss on their part and I don't believe that either of us will attempt to come back again. Especially after the hateful looks from the bartenders when I'm pretty sure it was one of them who answered the phone. What a...
Read moreWhat a terrible non family oriented atmosphere. I went there on a Friday night to spend time with my oldest son. I was expecting a sit down place to enjoy conversation and good food. We got there around 11.30 pm. I ordered a small turkey sub and a coke. The cost of the pathetic sandwich was $4.19 and the 24 oz coke was almost $3.00. My sandwich was literally tossed across my table at me in disgust due to the fact in my opinion that I ordered minutes before the kitchen closed. The sub was 90% hard dark brown almost burnt but not quite, but was so hard it crumbled in my mouth with each excruciating bite. It had wilted lettuce no peppers 2 tomatoe slices the size of pickles. 1 slice of turkey about 1/16th of an inch in thickness. I wanted to get up and complain but I was blocked in by the like 20 gangster thugs that overtook the dump after midnite . It was elbow to elbow. Super loud to the point that you had to yell to carry on a conversation . I shared my table with numerous rotating stranger's due to the overcrowding . I was given hard stares by gangster types most of the night. One of them harassed me in the hallway in the back but i didnt back down therefore he went about his business most likely because his crew was elsewhere but I witnessed the same thug wannabe pushing a drunk gentleman and harassing an older Hispanic male just minutes before. Thankfully the police came in briefly and watched the crowd a bit. It's a shame that troy Ohio pretends to be this upper class snooty non crime tolerant community , when the bottom line is there's definitely a strong crime and drug element in its midst and in its so called family sub restaurant. In closing in one person's opinion if you want to enjoy time with your family and good food in a non intimidating obnoxious atmosphere then don't visit the sub house at least not after 11pm because it's not a restaurant it's a bar straight...
Read moreSo I just ordered from here today, I ordered online via their website today at 1:10pm. I left the house at 1:15 and got there at 1:30. She said because the app has a lead of 45 minutes, EVEN when you pick ASAP. They don't start making the food until the time the website said it would be ready, so I sat there 25 minutes. They knew I was there, and I finally, 25 minutes later, went up to the pickup area, where I had been sitting 3 ft away from. There is my order! Wow, I sat there for 25 minutes and no one thought to bring it out??
So I get home and open it. It's not steamed. It's just a cold sub. The mushrooms we ordered were totally uncooked and not even close to an edible fried mushroom. And my wife got a turkey sub that had ONE slice of turkey on it. I was so mad that I had WASTED 45 minutes of my 1 hour lunch I threw it in the garbage and got Wendys.
My wife called to get a refund since we hadn't eaten the food we spent $20.77 on. And she was told I would have to drive BACK up with the food and waste another 30 minutes of my life proving I didn't want their food.
This will be the last $$ you ever see from me again, so enjoy the 20 bucks.
It is saying error occured when trying to upload a photo of my totally untouched sub. I will add that later just to prove that I am not trying to "steal" the food, I threw it...
