NOT THE PLACE TO BUY YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE THIS YEAR. Bought a tree 10 days ago. We bought the tree early since we were hosting my wife's family for Thanksgiving, and traveling the rest of the weekend, and wanted to have it done for when we got back. The tree was left outside, trunk freshly cut, and submerged in water, we brought it inside a few days later to decorate it. Knowing that you always make a mess with the needles setting it up, we didn't think too much of the amount of needles that accumulated on the floor. It was every day afterwards that had us concerned. Every morning and night we sweep up about a quart of fallen needles. It is only December 3 and we already have bare branches. At this point we called HD and they said if we bring back the tree and a receipt they will refund us. My biggest problem with this is that I feel as if that doesn't quite cover it. I have to go through twice the amount of effort, frustration, and mess. At this point I am out a lot more than just a tree. I'm out time, energy, and money on something I wanted to be right the first time. Yes they offered to refund a tree but what is being done to refund the time and frustration we are going through? I'm not just returning a plant that I neglected, I am having to remove the lights and decorations from a seven foot tree, strap it to the roof of my car and drive it back to HD all for the satisfaction of having to go through all the same frustration that consist of decorating a tree a second time. Did I mention my wife is also 8 months pregnant? HD has fallen way short on their recovery on this one.

Trussville store was the best store I've ever been to. Every employee that I either had questions about or needed to find something, went out their way to get me where I needed. Update ( February 05 2022 ) I bought a welder what seemed to be new but once I got it home and opened it, it was used a d the tip was burnt. I took it back trying to get a replacement since they were showing they had 2 left and the same for the Internet when I was looking. They couldn't find any a d they would sell the used broken welder to me but yet they sell it as it's new. Some of the employees were rude and it's not a holiday. Good luck when you think that you're buying something new. There's a picture of the tip of the so called new welder and it also had a new roll of wire inside, you have to buy.

1st time visiting and this place was amazing! The attendants had great attitudes, the store was clean and, there was plenty of seating (but ice heard that this place is SUPER popular and can be crowded, so plan accordingly). The atmosphere had a great small town, homey feel to it and I loved it! I had the Sea Salt Caramel and my husband had the Strawberry Shortcake Crunch. These shakes were photogenic! Every bite was beyond delicious! Would definitely recommend ❤

Ok so normally HD is my go to store. I've never really needed help, as I used to work there so I pretty much know where everything is. However, now I've started doing some diy projects, and like a lot of people, I'm completely clueless when it comes to wood and paint. So tonight, with the intention of buying everything I needed to make my daughter's bed, I went to my tried and true HD. Let me start off by saying, the dude working the paint counter was not only extremely friendly, but so extremely helpful in everything paint. He made sure I had everything I need to scrape and paint the popcorn ceilings and also to paint the walls for my daughter's bedroom. Definitely keep this boy on staff, he is awesome. Then came time to find screws and brad nails, as well as lumber. So I went off to the hardware department. Finding the screws was easy, however y'all don't carry a 4 1/2 in screw (or at least I don't think you do) so I settled for the 4". Looked around for an associate...couldn't find one. When I did finally find one, I said "excuse me" twice and was completely ignored. So, I figured it out myself. Then I couldn't find brad nails. Had no idea what aisle they would be on either, so I looked for an associate again. Couldn't find one. So I got on the website and figured out which aisle they were on. None of that really bothered me until I got to the lumber department. Now, I'm 5'2" tall. I'm not a big girl by any means, and I had my 10 year old in tow. I had multiple 2x10x8" boards on my list, many 2x6x8" as well as two humongous sheets of plywood. All things that are extremely difficult for someone my size to maneuver onto those rolly carts. Obviously my 10 year old was of no help, as she's 10 and about 1/3 of the height of me. Looked around. No one to be found. So I started getting these heavy boards by myself...searching through multiple stacks trying to find decent lumber to build this bed (the selection was terrible, to say the least...I'd find another lumber supplier.) I got all the lumber loaded with the help of ANOTHER CUSTOMER (who was at least 40 years my senior...hell, he should have had someone helping him!!) Went over to the plywood. Stood there for a minute trying to figure out how in the world I was gonna get this loaded. Had a couple associates walk by but they were in an obvious rush to get where they were going, and also didn't work in lumber. Saw the lumber associate cutting something, but it was loud and he couldn't hear me. So, I get the first sheet loaded. I go to load the second, and when I had it almost loaded by myself, that is when this gem of an employee finally decided he'd come try to help me. Thanks, but no thanks. I think it's time to have a come to Jesus meeting with your associates on being aware of your surroundings and helping the customers that are keeping you in business. The girl at the lumber checkout...she was fabulous in every single way. Friendly, sweet, joked with me and my daughter. A pleasant face to end a not so great visit. I love me some HD. I've always saved a ton going there over Lowe's, however I think this will be my last purchase (which was quite a hefty one...around $630.) Please please please keep in mind that y'all have jobs because people...

If there was a way to give ZERO stars I would do it. While I am writing this keep in mind that I just got off the phone with a store manager. He was polite BUT did he do all that he could to resolve this problem? NO ! I drove over an hour one way to go to the Trussville, AL store to buy a specific product BECAUSE there is NO HOME DEPOT in my town. Trussville is the nearest one. I went there and purchased an under the sink water filtration system costing over 160 dollars. I then returned over an hour back to my home. when opening the box I noticed that the box had been resealed across the top with cellophane tape. I soon found out that this was NOT done at the manufacturer. When I opened the box, the whole system looked as if it had already been installed by someone and used for a long time. The filter cartridges were already installed, wet and dirty. The hardware had tool marks on it where it had already been installed. SOMEONE swapped the filters and canisters with new ones and took it back. The store put it back on the shelf and never checked the contents of the box to see if it was all there or if anything was missing. The store managers solution? I have to drive over an hour back, get a refund or another system and drive another hour back home. That's it. Nothing else. Here is my solution. Drive back to Trussville, get a refund, go right around the corner to the Lowes and purchase yet another water filtration system and take it home and install it. And I will be done with Home Depot once...
