This review is posted by Nick's wife Sonya. I gave three stars to be fair as they do have some interesting stuff. However, I purchased a Louis Vuttion bag and had it verified and it came back as a fake. I was not upset over it being fake, but it is against the law to sell replica/counterfeit bags. I took the bag and the receipt back to them and explained the law and that I had it verified. The lady manager (I think her name is Mary...not sure) pretty much told me she was sorry but there was nothing they could do about it. My point to her was that it was illegal to sell fake bags like this. I believe a business of this type should have protocols in place for certain items and require authentication certificates before allowing on the sales floor. So, I am stuck with a fake bag that I cannot sell because that would be illegal and you can be charged with a misdemeanor. The least she could have done was contact the booth owner and explained to them what happened and see if they would have given me my money back. If you are considering purchasing a purse/bag there then I strongly suggest you try to have it authenticated before purchasing. I do not have plans to shop there anymore and I hate that because they had some stuff I really liked. I cannot go to a place that is aware something illegal that happened yet will not give me my monies back, or at least contact the booth owner. The situation and the bag has been reported to proper...
Read moreToday was my third time to the 22nd Street Antiques Mall. This place is addictive. And it's HUGE. You can spend five minutes or five hours. I was there about two hours this time. The place just goes on and on. Lots of friendly helpful staff to assist if you want to look at an item that's in a locked cabinet. Too many categories of antiques, collectibles, bric-a-brac to list, but I'll try! Furniture - from vintage to antique to cheap and tacky. Magazines, prints, art, old vinyl records, dishes, pottery, silverware, knives, estate jewelry, toys, musical instruments, matchbox cars, oddities, and I've barely scratched the surface. I never leave without buying something. On the last visit I bought a 4" x 4" miniature painting on canvas over hardboard of an adobe house that was easily 50-60 years old. Paid $21. It was signed by the artist. Got it home and googled it and turns out she was a well-known local artist from the 1930s. This venue is a collection of individual consignors and many of them place their items on sale from time to time. Today was no exception. There were sales of from 10% to 60% off. If you're en route from say Phoenix to Tucson, add a stop here to your schedule. Have some fun and...
Read moreIt makes me sad to leave this review because I’ve always like this place so much. I bought a couple items about a week ago and let the clerk know I wouldn’t be able to come pick it up for a week or more because I was going out of town and the items would not fit in my car. She said no problem. I got a call inquiring when I’d be coming a week later, totally understandable, I called to let them know I’d be there over the weekend to get the furniture. The response I got was incredibly rude, the woman on the phone talked to me like I was trying to screw them over in some way. I just don’t understand, I purchased the items already, and if there was an issue with waiting to pick up the items, they should have told me that when I purchased it. I asked her what the problem was and she just ignored my question and asked over and over when I would come up. Truly some of the worse customer service I’ve ever experienced. Maybe because it’s a consignment ship they don’t personally care about customer service, I’m not sure. I plan to pick up my items and never go back. I hope whoever i spoke to me on the phone gets to go on a vacation or something soon, she sounds like she...
