Arizona Cactus & Trees — Attraction in Tucson

Was looking for a cactus removal service to remove a 20 foot cactus with many limbs that was blocking access to electric meter which TEP needs to upgrade. After contacting several landscapers advertising cactus removal I found Patricia Patton at Arizona Cactus & Trees. THANK GOODNESS!! Spoke to Patricia on Friday morning, she came to my home that afternoon with one of her workers to take a look at the cactus. Discussed the options, and the option that most appealed to both of us was salvage of the beautiful cactus rather than cutting it down. Patricia came back on Saturday with a proposal for two options which were agreeable and reasonable given that part of my fence would need to be removed in order to access the yard and cactus due to its size. Appointment was made for 6AM Sunday morning and at 6AM Sunday morning the crew of 2 arrived. Crew dug out roots, wrapped and cushioned cactus for protection and lifted it over the fence rather than remove a portion of the fence. We had a 22 foot saguaro cactus that was looking sick and leaning toward our house, making us very nervous with all the rain and soft soil. Patricia came right away to look at it and recommended it be removed ASAP before it fell over on our house. Her workers came 2 days later and removed it piece by piece, all 3300 lbs. When cutting sections of the cactus while keeping tension on a line tied to their truck, the cactus was starting to rock back and forth and move. It was braced with wood boards and safely removed and hauled away. The workers did a good job cleaning up the yard before leaving. Patricia , the owner of the company was very informative. She had 3 workers who came out within a couple of hours after we reached out to them. Marvin, Jeremy, and Savannah were all very professional, extremely hard workers, efficient, and showed a high level of courtesy and kindness to us. Very polite people. It was obvious they were experienced at their job. They went above and beyond to even rake up the little bit of rotted cactus debris and watered it down for us because they didn’t want to leave any mess behind.
