Worst management in town. This location failed to cancel my account upon request in person in November. Then continued to charge me. When I attempted the contact them in reference to set charges, I was not only treated rudely by the manager, I was told I was banned from the site altogether. I was banned because a statement I made pertaining to thier contracted help. I stated that their English was very hard to understand. Mind you, PF outsources thier phone calls to a 3rd party as many of you may or may not know outside of the U.S. The person I spoke to was very hard to understand. I even attempted to speak Spanish, with no avail. After a 48 minute phone call to a third party company that planet fitness outsources too. I was told my issue had been resolved as they had contacted this location while I was on hold and spoke to management. Then I was hung up on without warning. I then contacted this location, Spectrum Mall, to ensure everything was settled. I was told by management that they were never contacted at all in regards to my concern. I explained, when I was asked what had happened. I stated the conversation was very difficult, as there was an obvious language barrier and suggested they should outsource thier calls to U.S. companies so that the representatives could be easier understood as well as creating American jobs, I was told I was prejudice for that statement. Mind you I also asked thier calling service to be transferred to a Spanish speaking line as to resolve set issue with no avail. I'm bi racial, either line would have been suffice provided they were clear and articulated. At which time the manager decided to ban me for life. All because I suggested they employee Americans in America. I was not rude or abrasive with my manner of speech. Nor did I curse. Yet suggesting they hire "Americans", of all races of coarse, is an issue for Planet Fitness. This place is a joke. Save your money, work out at home, or go to another gym. Planet fitness is not worth the headache. Only franchise that'll actually shame a guest for working out at their own personal level because another guest complains that you're working out too hard. Ironic how planet fitness is against shaming and bullying yet call their guests lunks for working out to hard or drinking bigger bottles of water. Irony at its best. Read moreI went to the gym today at around 11:30a and placed my things in a locker and locked it with a personal lock. After my workout, I went back to retrieve my things from the locker I thought I had placed my things in, but the lock was not there and my things were not in the locker where I thought I had placed it. I talked to the staff, and they were very helpful. The gym manager at the time even took time from her lunch break to check the security cameras to see if someone might have taken my things. I called the cops to file a police report because all my personal belongings (ID, credit card, keys, and etc.) were in the locker. I was literally panicking and started to lose it.
About an hour into the incident, one of the staff asked for my lock keys and asked for a description of my lock, which I gave him. He went back into the locker room and found the lock I described to him on a locker which was close to the locker where I thought I had placed my things. I was a bit embarrassed because I think my memory failed me. I never remembered leaving my stuff in that particular locker. Yet, my things were exactly as I had left them prior to starting my workout.
To the staff at this Planet Fitness location, my sincerest apologies for any drama I may have caused. However, I greatly appreciate all of you for helping me and being extremely professional in the way you handled this matter. I'm deeply grateful and appreciative of your attentiveness and courtesy during this dramatic event I caused.
I have been going to this gym for nearly 6 months and it's always clean, the staff is always friendly and available to help. Read moreI've been going to Planet for about 5 months. Had to stop my membership cause financial reasons. Now I wanna reactivate my account. I called and asked. Had to come in to check on my account further. Okay, cool, understandable. I did and told them the situation, and they looked up my account with no problem. And said everything a green light. I don't have to pay an annual fee again. So I came in a week after. Asked to reactivate my account and was told that I had to make a new account and pay the annual fee again. And I was very confused and frustrated. So I explained to the lady that I came a week ago and said everything was good. And she kept saying that she got told by the manager and so I got little mad and said "Look, I don't wanna be a rooster but I came a week ago and said everything good and so can you just look up that I don't have too pay an annual fee again and that my account is good to go too reactivate" she did. She said everything was okay. On the computer was a green light saying I don't have to pay an annual fee. And then she proceeded to tell me that she didn't wanna get into trouble with the manager. So I left. She did tell me about the free day pass, which was good for her. But i did not appreciate that she did not wanna help what I had to say and just proceed book standards which is understandable, But i really felt like she didn't wanna help on the first place when another co worker had no problem looking up my account before. Unless policy changed in that week very understandable. Just kinda disappointed in my experience today. I love Planet, and it's a great environment to work out.
