I'm sure it's the same old story...I let someone else, not a pro, dye my hair and I hated it. To add to it, I hardly ever color my hair and usually don't get a haircut more than once a year if that. I do take good care of it though. I don't have split ends or anything like that. When I came to Toni and Guy I had been dropped from another appointment at another salon after waiting for an hour. I looked up "same day appointment and walkin" hair care online and after a little while found Toni and Guy. I picked the next available appointment and the universe brought me to Alora! I used to get my hair done with a stylist at Gadabout that I loved, years ago. I could walk in and tell her to do what she thought would look good and she would. Alora was better. She had to hold my hand through the whole thing. Ask me questions like I was a four year old about what I wanted, how I usually do my hair, what my hair goal is, etc. I'm the type that needs that. After taking the time and effort of fixing the color which needed another dose of 10 more minutes of processing AFTER she saw that the color wasn't quite right...she started the cut. A lot of my hair fell out after getting COVID last year and the regrowth is in an awkward stage. She finished the cut and took the time to blow dry with a round brush showing me how I can work around it. I left loving my hair and after first leaving a reasonable tip I came back and left her more. Having a beautiful haircut and style with a color you can live with is one thing, but feeling like a new woman is something else. You made me feel BRAND NEW!! YAAAAASSSS! Thank you to Toni and Guy but all the praise goes to Alora who went a few extra miles to make it right. Now I can start a new position with confidence instead of feeling like I...
Read moreI had went there for a haircut I had found a picture that was similar to what I wanted, went over my idea with the stylist to make sure I could pull something close to what I wanted off, she said no problem. I new the new haircut was going to require more length to be cut off then what I usually do so as she cut I convinced myself that it was just that this haircut was a little out of my comfort zone. It seemed like a long time for her to blow dry and style but I figured she was being nice. After I got home and it didn't look much like the picture, and as the days went by and I came to accept that it wasn't the shock of her cutting the length, something was really wrong with the haircut I hated it, and I am unable to do anything with it. I did post a review through Tony&Guys website and was called by the manager who advised me she would look at it to see what she could do, she looked at me and advised me that she wouldn't have cut it like it was cut, and at that point not much could be done because it had been cut so short already. She tried to soften the cuts so they didn't look so blunt and evened out what she could. The manager advised she would again look at it in a few weeks to see what she could do but I decided not to go back. I did post this on there site and it was taken down. The manager was nice that is why I gave the 2 stars, but on the coupon I had bought it said your haircut would be a haircut, style, and deep-conditioning treatment with a designer-level stylist; you do not get a designer level stylist. I would not recommend going here unless you ask for the manager to...
Read moreOMG, just can't give enough thanks or praise to the staff of the TONI&GUY on Campbell Ave. in Tucson. This is a TOP NOTCH SALON. I was so-so so impressed! Gabby, the young woman that colored my hair was absolutely AMAZING. She was so cautious about applying color correctly and not having the dye stain my face it was really so touching. And her application of first, the highlights and then the color was done with such precision it was unreal. What can I say TONY and GUY you are so lucky to have this wonderful woman on your staff and then there was Alicia who trimmed my hair. She listened to what I wanted and did precisely that. The end product was again AMAZING. The salon itself is well ordered and the staff members supported each other continuously. Yes, the work done on my hair took around five hours, but there was a lot of work to be done. ie correcting the damage that myself and possibly other salons had done to my hair. All I can say is that I will not be going to another salon in Tucson and you shouldn't either. THIS SALON, THE TONI &GUY SALON on Campbell Ave. is a dream come true for anyone interested in a truly incredible work of art done with their hair. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AT TONI&GUY on Campbell Ave YOU ARE ALL SO AMAZING!!! See you again soon! xoxoxoxoxoxox Mary...
