Tupelo Cotton Mill — Attraction in Tupelo

I really want to love this venue as they can make it so beautiful and versatile for any occasion, but i still get hung up by the location. Maybe if they would light the area up more and dress up the outside of the place, it wouldn't feel so spooky. They also need to work on the parking situation. We saw several cars blocked in just having to sit until people decided to leave. Like I said this can be used in so many ways the potential is unlimited but seriously just a scary looking closed down factory set back in a dark corner in what was not too long ago not a great neighborhood on the outside. I don't have anything to tell you about what the building is used for today. I give it 5 stars for what it meant to me as a child . You must first know that Mr. J.J. Rogers, was my great grandfather. Wonderful atmosphere with exposed brick and ceiling fixtures. Reminds me of downtown New Orleans' businesses tendency to do the same. Open and bright. Only real gripes are the nonfunctional water fountains and the size -- It's great for moderately-sized groups, but it could get crowded with more than 100 to 150...
