This is no park. I was rather disappointed to discover (info only available online) the names on the stone are $100 each to gave engraved. I also noticed two Medal of Honor recipients of whom have no correlation with Tuscaloosa county whatsoever. No mention of how THEY got THEIR special recognition plaque stand in rock. Also no information provided about how to have a stand made for a MOH recipient. Skip this and just keep driving. Alabama has better war memorials...
Read moreThis is not what I would consider a park. This IS a memorial however and it is a nice memorial to visit because it is clean and they have a number of very interesting vehicles staged for viewing.
My son enjoys ‘militaria’ as much as most Americans and he certainly appreciates the opportunity to see these military vehicles in person.
I would note that they are going to need to update the memorial to include our countries...
