The Legacy Theatre — Attraction in Tyrone

We have seen a few shows at the Legacy and enjoyed them all! Not a lot of theatre on the south side of ATL so this place is a must for theatre lovers. We only wish it wasn’t so conservative! There are a lot of really good plays and musicals out there that deal with some heavy duty social issues and none have been seen here. That is why they get 4 out of 5 stars. Conservative and theatre have no place with one another. Kid friendly shows ARE important but please know that people can learn a lot and also be entertained by more controversial shows like The Laramie Project, The Vagina Monlogues, Angels in America etc. We still recommend you go see a show here because the shows they do put on are well directed, acted, and choreographed. Omg!!! I have been to 3 different performances at the Legacy. The little mermaid, White Christmas, and now, Annie. I have not been disappointed once. I have two things to say about Annie…1. The young lady (Camden?)was phenomenal! Great Voice, Did well working with the adorable dog. Can’t say enough things about this young lady 2. I’m not sure what Daddy Warbucks Real name is, but I can tell you that I felt like I was listening to a famous singer who had come in to do a cameo. His voice is unreal and I would go to any show that he is performing in. I have often left theatres thinking “Wow, that was a really good play.” But I can not remember ever leaving a theatre thinking “Holy cow! I HAVE to see this again before it closes! My gawd, this needs to be done on Broadway and across the country! I need the recording of this music!!! The acting was superb! The dancing was phenomenal! The singing…words can’t express how talented they are! Choreography, Lights, Sound, Stage management, playwright/director … all were beyond compare!
