So i have been a strong Planet Fitness fan for years but am so dissapointed in there lack of care for safety and sanitation at this location. I get nobody wants to wear a mask, then stay at home if u dont, and shame on this location for not enforcing the wear of masks per local guidance. People are walking around without them, going to the water fountains, and locker rooms without them, and nobody says or does anything. I went and looked at Golds gym a few days ago and the facilities there are cleaner, and they are taking way more protective measures. I got an email at the start of the month saying masks would be enforced, that never did happen. So my question is did your organization make false promises to there customers, like what happened there, very disappointed!! image View web version. Planet Fitness

At Planet Fitness, our #1 priority is the health and safety of our members and team members. As part of our commitment to bringing you a squeaky clean and safe fitness environment, we’ve enhanced our existing cleanliness policies and procedures — which we hope you’ve seen and experienced since returning to our clubs. Today, we wanted to update you on an important step we’re taking to enhance our current mask policy.
Effective August 1, all Planet Fitness members (you!) & guests will be required to wear a mask inside our clubs, at all times. Wearing a mask in public is proven to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, and we’re committed to doing everything in our power to ensure that you can gym safely and confidently. Thanks in advance for your support and adherence to this policy. This added safety precaution also helps us to remain open to serve you and keep you healthy and moving!
We understand that wearing a mask while working out may be new for you, but we’re here to help you every step of the way. Our team members can give you tips on ways to make your workout work for you.
If you don’t have a mask or forget it at home, our team members will give one to you. If you have a medical exception that prohibits you from wearing a mask, or prefer not to use the gym while masks are required, please reach out to your local club. We’re happy to freeze your membership until we are no longer requiring masks in our clubs.

Read moreWorst experience ever I have never worked out here ever, I had a friend from outside the US come and visit me and she worked out a lot so I kindly helped her get a membership. After doing so, we went into the location and no one at the counter was there to help her learn where things are at and what was expected when coming to the gym. They all just stared at us like we were a bother to them. Later finding out one of them was a manager. My friend had left the country to go back home and she had thought she canceled the membership which unfortunately was not. I have also since moved to a whole new state. I have BEEN calling and leaving messages to get them to cancel the membership but they still have yet to cancel it just keep charging my card and NO manager has contacted me back about the matter. Worst possible customer service I have ever experienced knowing it had to deal with someone else’s finances. Again I have never worked out there before ever and they aren’t letting me get it canceled over the phone because it’s my friends name on the account but MY card. She left back in March and they have been charging me since. Read moreUniversal City PF: I signed up a 12:19 for a personal trainer session and arrived at 1240. The male staff member told me she will be right with me. He didn’t tell me Rebecca was off the clock. I waited until 1:10 and I got up and walked over to the desk and saw the girl behind the desk, reading a book, and told me when I asked where the personal trainer (Rebecca) is and I was told she was off the clock. I walked out and then came back in and asked for a manager and was told his name was Jay and wouldn’t be back until Tuesday. I tried to call the corporate number and couldn’t find it. I contacted the club and the same girl who felt her book was more important than customer service, told me she can’t give it out. I asked again about why I wasn’t seen and she told me it didn’t pop up on the screen and the previous male didn’t tell her I was waiting. She said it might have been for a different day. I asked her what she didn’t come over to the table where I had been waiting and ask. She told me she was doing her job and many members just sit there. I was not dressed in workout clothes.
