It’s like one of those those things that are too obvious, like the first choice in a box of chocolates or a low hanging fruit, I’ve been passing City Sandwich for years and it just never occurred to me the bewildering wonders that It contained. And be warned, you might want to pause outside and ponder the menu a moment, it is a wonder of sandwich possibilities. As I approached the head of the line, a little fearful I would falter in my indecision and cause an embarrassing logjam I was cheerfully greeted and skillfully guided through some quick life options, I love being called honey. I got this surprising Sammy with turkey and cream cheese and cranberry on swirl dark rye with piping hot tomato soup and it was all to die for. I could see the owner moving in the kitchen like a time lapse movie putting sandwiches together and as a small business owner myself, she has my admiration! That woman is a pro! The ambience is fun. The clientele is obviously a strong balance of regulars who already know exactly what they want and are called either by name or of course by endearment (which I prefer). It’s another one of those places that you stumble into that turn out to be bigger on the inside than they are on the outside. My boyfriend and I stopped in for the first time on a whim and had the BEST experience! It was early in the morning, and we were the first and only ones for a while. The ambiance is quintessentially deli from the design, decor, and even that perfect deli-fresh scent. We got a BBQ sauce sandwich with Swiss on wheat. GIANT, DELICIOUS SANDWICH. We were happily chatting with the owner, Kathy, pretty much throughout our experience. She really is a special kind of Deli Mama! She made us feel so at home and cared for. She even boxed up the rest of my sandwich and salad as we continued to chat. We will be back to eat the sandwiches, but most importantly, to support Kathy's wonderful business! It's people like her that deserve to have a thriving business, which makes sense as to why she's had the shop for 23 years! Please support City...

An excellent and clean with well prepared sandwiches at this sandwich shop. This local business has a wide variety of made to order sandwiches.

The two women working were friendly and efficient. The prep area was clean and I caught views of the green fresh lettuce and toppings. Their attention to food safety and cleanliness was noted. This backs up their excellent restaurant inspection ratings.

The sandwich was delicious. The meat quantity was generous and of good quality. The vegetables were fresh and a sizeable portion. The bread was fresh and also superb.

The two women working were so genuine and made you feel welcome. They elevate an excellent sandwich to a real customer focused experience. I’ll be back and look forward to trying other sandwiches...
