Love my local Fred Meyers. ❤️ the workers so helpful. And what I truly love is the fact that police are present. Which wasn't available 5 months ago. People were thieving from morning till night. Now police have been present certain hours which at least makes me feel more comfortable shopping, which I believe it makes a lot of people feel more comfortable when they are available police officers. I would like to thank them for being there. It was getting to where you couldn't walk out or in without somebody walking or running past you with things they've stolen. Workers can't touch them workers can't call 911 because they won't respond is what I was told. So I'm glad to see that the police have stepped up to help Fred Meyers and their customers and workers so they feel safe at work so we feel safe as customers shopping. I tried cashing my tribal disbursement check here at the money services and the lady at the counter tried telling me that the only checks they cash were paychecks. I thought that had to be wrong so I looked up the website and sure enough they cash all kinds of checks besides paychecks. When I went back to show her this on my phone she called someone and instead of describing the particular check I wanted to cash, she just said "Do we cash tribal checks?" and I guess the answer was a swift no. I still don't know if it would have been possible but I just thought the manner in which it all went down was a little strange. I guess I'll stick to Walmart, never had a problem cashing them there. Let's start by saying the location is absolutely beautiful! Within walking distance to the Columbia river waterfront and next door to the Pearson airport it is breath taking. Nothing better than the smell of fresh river air and looking up to see personal airplanes just a few yards above you coming in for landing. The only downside is that there's not many store's, and the ones that are there, are a little over priced. Secondly its not very kid friendly. With no stores or attractions for children or families and its location just off of the highway, plus being in an industrial area, there's a very high amount of commercial traffic at fairly high speeds.
