You're merely attempting to gaslight me here to make yourself appear like the victim, which is disappointing after the way that you treated me from the moment our interaction began. As a person who has only ever worked in the service industry, I'd never throw a fit over being asked to wait. I'm completely accepting of waiting when I need assistance. I'm going to tell the entire story from start to finish so people can decide if they want to shop at your store. My daughter and I walked into the store about 20 minutes after you opened. There was a man trying on shoes. There was a mother and daughter looking around. I browsed for a bit until you (the owner) said, can I help you? There was already a rudeness in your voice but since I had never met you before I gave you the benefit of the doubt. I said that I was hoping to get ballet shoes for my daughter. You said, come over here. You asked me what size shoe she wore. You got the shoes and handed one of them to me. You told me to put the shoe on her. I took off her school shoe and put on the ballet shoe. I had put it on over her regular sock. You said in a condescending tone "oh honey you need to use one of these" in reference to the little socks you can use to try on shoes. I didn't see any of those socks in a place that was noticeable. You could've handed me one but instead watched as I put the shoe on over my daughter's regular sock and then chose to say something? So I said "oh, sorry about that." I took the sock from you and did it the right way. I said, is the fit too small? You grabbed my daughter's foot and pulled the shoe up and said that was how to properly wear them, again, with a rude tone in your voice. I said okay that's good to know, thank you. At this point I was feeling so unwelcome and couldn't believe how annoyed you were acting. Another mom came in and said she was looking to get ballet and tap shoes. That reminded me that my daughter also needed tap shoes. I said "I'm so sorry, is there any way my daughter could try on a tap shoe as well?" You said "is she even in tap?" I replied with "yes, she is in tap and ballet."(Why would I ask to have her try on tap shoes if she wasn't in tap?) You said "okay, well do you wanna have her sit down again then?" Your tone with me very quickly got worse. It was never good, like I've stated over and over, but by this point in the conversation you were just being blatantly rude. I said "you know what, you are being very rude to me. You said "well why didn't you tell me in the first place she needed tap shoes?" I said, "I am feeling really overwhelmed and I completely forgot to ask until I heard the other mom say something. I'm going to get these ballet shoes only because my daughter is supposed to start ballet class today, but I won't ever buy another thing from you again." You walked us up front and checked me out. You said "I'm sorry, it's just that I'm really overwhelmed because there's a lot of people in here." I was silent at this point and completely in shock at the way you, the owner of all people, felt entitled to treat a complete stranger in such a way. I came right out to my car and wrote the review. I would never go out of my way to make someone feel uncomfortable or unwelcome in the ways that you did. To make things worse, you couldn't take ownership of your mistakes but you chose to try and gaslight me instead by making it appear as though I was told to wait and that's why I was so upset. Then you had someone named Barry, potentially the man that was there trying on tap shoes, write a review defending you with MORE FALSE INFORMATION. You responded to his review that you were happy to help him and his daughter? I watched that man leave the store completely alone. The only customers inside of that store that had children with them were women.

I am glad I had the opportunity to set the record straight, with the truth. Not lies and gaslighting. I am now going to move on with my life. I hope in the future you will treat people with a little...

I have gone to All About Dancewear multiple times and it has always been a great experience. I've gotten fitted for Ballet slippers here twice (this year's pair fits beautifully). The staff are knowledgeable and very friendly and helpful. I bought all my leotards from them this year and I was able to try them on in store before purchasing which was definitely nice. They also did an excellent job with my first pointe shoe fitting which was very easy to schedule. I had no idea what I was doing with getting the pointe shoes since it was my first time and it's hard to tell at first if they fit because they inevitably hurt, but now I've been dancing on them for months and they fit beautifully. They knew what to look for to see if the shoes fit properly and I super appreciate how well they did and how helpful they were with the fitting. There are more positive experiences I've had but instead of going into all the examples I'll just say I've experienced excellent, friendly customer service and I plan to come back if the need arises for another shoe fitting or dance...

I was in the store when the previous reviewer was and did not see the same interaction she reported. The store was busy and the staff were helping everyone with courtesy. I did not see any rudeness from any of the staff at any point. The sales person did ask if she could have her child sit back down to try on other shoes, but I sensed no rudeness or ill ton from the salesperson. I've visit s this store multiple times and never had a bad experience. Helpful, courteous and knowledgeable staff, with an aim for getting customers what they need. Locally owned...
