The challenges I have faced going to this place over the years is now to the point of insanity. I attempted to order on a weeknight, line was disgusting. Unkept, unclean. Lettuce was brown, film over the queso. I was greeted when I walked in with an exasperated employee. He was frustrated, because "there was another one". Customer, I assume he meant. Once I got closer to the line, another employee was preparing bowls for customers. Every other word out of his mouth was "f this, f that, f this place, f you". I assume the customers were his friends, but there were other people in the store that weren't his friends. I started ordering and the employee was literally throwing ingredients into my bowl. Much of it was missing and flying all over the line. To say I was getting half portions would be an overstatement. The employee would constantly stop and then stare off into space. When he'd come back to, he would need me to repeat my order. The breaking point was when I said I wanted lettuce on bowl 1. NOT bowl 2. He grabs a handful of lettuce and crams it into the wrong bowl. I pointed out the mistake. So he crams his whole entire hand into the bowl, scoops up all of the lettuce and most of what was in there and fired it into the trash. Leaving a lot of lettuce behind, and very little of the main ingredients. Cameron, the manger didn't care. Why should he? He's a teenager running a fast-food restaurant. This place sucks. Read more4/22/2022 This was my first visit to the Vandalia store. I was not impressed!! First impression, 2 girls sitting in the customer seating on phones and looked at us with rolling eyes, like we were an inconvenience. The girl who waited on us must have been training because it seemed like she didn’t know what to do when we ordered. The girl training was instructing her from her seat. I was patient and understand new job jitters. She obviously was reading instructions on how to put the burritos together but was still putting the wrong ingredients on and out of some ingredients that were suppose to be on our order. We made it to the checkout and was charged 35.00 for 1 sweet habanero bowl, 1 Hawaiian burrito and a Gatorade. I told her the amount was not correct, she didn’t understand, the manager came out and I told her 4 times because they kept going back and forth with what we ordered, the bag was sitting on the counter next to them. Unfortunately there’s just this displeasing moment when I walk in store and see certain management. We used to love going to Hot Head. We don’t dine in any more when we do go. There’s a young lady I believe is a manager. Is constantly rude and is not afraid to let it show, she’s not happy you’re walking in. Food is still good as I will always enjoy Hot Head and their sauces. I am going to start driving to a different location due to the lack of customer service I receive when I go in.
