AVOID!!!!! Terrible experience. Harrison “fixed” a broken iPad screen and then coated it for an extra $30. He gave me a little ticket he said was $150 “insurance” and told me to register it. I asked if I would need a protective case in addition to the coating and he said no. A month later the ipad fell and broke the screen and LED. I went online with the little ticket and registered it. The “insurance” company emailed me asking for more info. I called Harrison and he said i waited too long to register — I only had 14 days. I explained my husband had a stroke right after we got the repair. No apology, in fact Harrison said he was not sorry because it was my fault!for not registering. I think a repair and coating he charged me $170 for should last more than a month. I even gave him a $20 tip. There are lots of other repair people who will treat ypu like a human...
Read moreOrigami is fabulous. Harrison is very personable and helpful. Just as importantly he quickly and expertly replaced the battery and screen on my Kindle. He informed accurately what was needed and what it would cost, including ordering a screen.
Harrison kept me informed of the progress of the work. In my opinion, the repair was quick and expertly done. The price for this work was fair and just as promised.
I tried other places in the region who claimed to repair Kindled. One would not repair the screen because it was too tricky-despite their claim to repair all Kindled. The other would send it out despite their store claim that they would do the work on site.
Save your time and frustration. Harrison will do the job and do it right. And keep you informed.Origami Hand Cannon was the...
Read moreMy old Samsung Galaxy S5 had been slowly dying for over a year when it eventually stopped working altogether. Harrison Best, the proprietor of this business, discussed my problem, and took the phone apart to try to diagnose the situation. He gave me a fair assessment of my situation. He explained that updates are no longer available for my old phone and that a repair would likely cost more than to buy a used newer model. Most likely, my old phone would need a new memory or a new processor and possibly a new LED, as the screen was just white. He was able to fix me up with a barely used S8 model that works great, at a reasonable cost. I figure he saved me about $400 over buying a new S9. I am very satisfied with his honesty and reasonable prices. There was no charge to assess...
