How to describe how special the energy is in this coffee shop? I’ll try, but you should really just go in and find out for yourself. The menu, the pastries, and the coffee selection are all phenomenal. I’m kind of a bean guy, and they use the primo stuff for their espressos and cappuccinos. My favorite drink is the iced matcha latte (try it with coconut milk for just a touch of sweetness and oat milk for that full-earth flavor). They get the powder at a local herb shop just around the corner. But enough about the menu, let’s get down to what makes this place truly special- the energy and the people. It has all the familiar charms of a bustling coffee shop, but if you’re lucky enough to walk in during a break in the rush (late mornings to early afternoons), you might get to chat with one of the exquisite people that work there. Bailey and Jaden not only are top-notch baristas and servers, but they try to actually get to know you and you can tell they truly care. This is because the owner Corey has created such a wonderful working atmosphere for his employees, that their love for the place is transferred to you. I love to go there and sit on the couch and read/write for hours because I am so comfortable. I always make sure to leave an extra fat tip because breakfast servers don’t make as much with items priced so low. Whether you’re catching up with an old friend over breakfast, getting a coffee to go, or just chilling on your morning down time, you can feel this is just one of those rare places because of its...

I cannot say enough great things about this place. I work in senior healthcare and part of my job is providing catered meals to hospitals, nursing homes, etc.

I wanted to provide something unique and delicious for this particular event this week, and wow! This place delivered. The owner Corey and the manager, Bailey were beyond helpful and provided tasty, savory quiches and their signature coffee, served promptly, hot and ready to go right on time and without any issues at all.

The staff that got to enjoy these delights were more than thrilled to enjoy something that was different than the average donuts and bagels that they traditionally get, and to find that Venice Island Coffee and their quiches taste like homemade delectable deliciousness was a hit!

My coworker and I came back to the restaurant immediately following the event to enjoy quiches of our own with multiple cups of their Cali Gold coffee! I had the apple sausage quiche, while my teammate had the Lorraine, which is Bacon, onion and swiss. Both were the best we had ever tasted, and only wanted more.

We are now forever fans of Venice Island Coffee. I now come here to do work on my laptop, take coworkers or guests, order food to cater for an event, or simply to-go before I get on the road for work!

If you’re in or around Venice Island during breakfast or lunch hours, please do yourself a favor and stop by Venice Island...

Pretty unbelievable! After seated it took 10 minutes just to take my order. Ordered a muffin with coffee because I thought it would be quicker. 15 minutes in coffee and muffin come. Asked for it heated, no problem server took back. 30 minutes in a different server asked if I needed help. I said I never got the muffin. She said sorry and brought me something different than what I originally ordered. I said no problem I’ll just pay for the coffee. Thats when the owner appeared. I told him that I had waited over 30 minutes and that’s when he became confrontational. Asked to step outside and proceeded to tell me, imagine if when you came in and 40 other people ordered a muffin and coffee at the same time. Well that told me right away what I was dealing with. I explained that rationale was ridiculous. Then in a heated voice asked me to leave. Just can’t believe a customer would be treated like this.

In response to the owners reply... Don't worry I won't return. I typically don't have 30 minutes for a cup of coffee. By the way. In the restaurant everything was fine and the heated discussion only happened after you told me to go outside to talk. and it was there that you were more aggressive. It has to be a pretty bad thing for me to take the time to write a review in the first place. I have never had an owner treat...

I know coffee, this place has the best coffee downtown. Every other coffee shop has no flavor or tastes burnt... Not Venice Island Coffee. You'll want to come here if you want to enjoy your coffee order. Accessibility: curb-cuts and lots of space in the building to maneuver a stroller/wheelchair Parking: street parking or accessible spots available in nearby parking lots Seating: indoor or outdoor Options: food, tea, coffee Staff: helpful, fast, nice Restrooms: yes Atmosphere: cozy, warm, family-friendly Animals: sure Kid Friendly: yes

Soooo I did not sit down for food, and that may very well be great. However, when you have the word coffee in your title… how can it possibly not be good? I don’t understand that. This is more of a cafe type set up. I actually felt weird just being there to order a coffee. I ordered an iced latte and it was basically milk and Ice. My husband did not like his iced coffee either. If you’re going here I would stick with the food only. There are a few outdoor tables as well.
