Sea Pleasures & Treasures — Attraction in Venice

Came into the store tonight during the shark tooth festival at 5:24 we were greeted with we close in 5 mins we said okay no problem we will be less than that. 5:26 they started turning the lights off with multiple people inside the store okay that was fine but then again at 5:27 they started turning the rest of the lights off and a different lady said to us can I help you find anything? We said no we are allset thank you and she said well just so you know we close at 5:30 very rudely. We still had 3 mins til closing people were still checking out and yet we were being rushed out of the store. At that point I was so disgusted with the way we were being treated I didn't even bother to continue looking and definately was NOT going to give them any of my money. We go downtown Venice all the time and never has my family been treated so rudely from any of the stores and I will not go back. I understand wanting to close and go home but you own a business in downtown Venice during a major event that brings in many tourists that probably pay way to much at your store and you treated all the people shopping in your store rudely this evening being rushed and turning the lights off 5 minutes...

We went in the shop around 5:15pm to look around since we only had a few minutes to shop for souvenirs for our trip. My boyfriend's mom was in the process of making a purchase while he and I were looking at shark teeth and alligator heads in a display case. An employee came over and very rudely told us that the store was closed. The other two employees helping his mom even looked shocked by how she talked to us and asked if we would like to see something. At that point, I couldn't believe how rude she had been and kindly told them no thank you and let the store once his mom was finished. Even though they were extremely nice to us, the rudeness of the one employee made me not want to purchase anything at the store....and we were ready to spend a little money since we actually did see something we wanted...

Great store for souvenirs. This is a must stop once a year when on vacation. Edit: Been going to Venice yearly for 4 years and we always stop here. Was there on April 22, 2025. Bought all our goodies for family and friends. Flew home to Washington and when unpacking realized a beautiful carved Manatee was not in our stuff. I get some sort of unique manatee or turtle from them every year. Called them and they had it! They noticed when we left the store and tried to go out and find us but we were already gone.
