Fossil Frenzy — Local services in Venice

I almost gave 3 stars because the store comes across as the typical tourist trap. I was just curious since I was downtown shopping with my bride and I recently made my own shark tooth sifters. The prices were so high for most items that I was definitely in the wrong tax bracket to be shopping at Fossil Frenzy. My bride picked up a small sticker for her water bottle and paid $4. For a freaking small sticker! I am giving 4 stars instead of 3 because I recognize the store is not meant for someone like me. If you have the financial means or are unable to spend time with your kids on the beach, try Fossil Frenzy. They do have quite the selection of “treasures”. And the sifters really do work better than simply scooping and sorting on the ground. Head to Manasota beach and you can have a good time with your new sifter. Fun for all ages! We brought our son and nephews to the shop this weekend for Fossil Frenzy’s “Fossil Mining” Experience. All three of the kids (aged 1, 3, and 5) had a fantastic time searching for what they called “hidden treasures”! The mining experience offers different colored buckets corresponding to different possible fossil and gem discoveries. We did the budget friendly green buckets which contained a fun assortment of small teeth and gems. The shop worker, Gianna, was amazing at helping the kids identify their “treasures” using special identification cards. Fossil Frenzy also offers higher end buckets that contain Megalodon teeth that would be a lot of fun as the kids grow up. My wife and I were visiting family in the area. Before we visited I was browsing TikTok trying to find tips on finding shark teeth. I found Fossil Frenzy’s tik tok and loved the energy and excitement Brit has for finding shark teeth and fossils so much we decided to visit fossil frenzy and she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
