bought some kitchen cabinets from the Meadville PA store in August. The expected date on the receipt was 9/22, but the sales associate Dan said, realistically, its going to be a few weeks after that. So I called around the middle of October, sadly, no one at the store can find anything.....cant even find the order.....finally talk to Melissa, in the kitchen dept, she says they will be shipped on `10/22, and they'll be there Friday 10/23. Great, my son flies home to help me install them. we call on 10/23, they aren't there. maybe just not received in yet. So we go on Saturday, Dan tries to find then, they aren't there. Talk to Hannah in customer service. she calls the vendor, they tried to deliver them , but the store was closed (among the first of several lies, I since have been told the store is nearly 24x7 for deliveries. )......was told they'll be there on Friday 10/30.....10/30, no cabinets, truck didn't arrive (second of several lies)....ask to speak to the store manager,. they gave me Mike, who really had a very poor attitude about it.....nothing he can do. So Saturday I go to the store, talk to Dan, he cant believe it. I either want my cabinets or a refund. Melissa says better call Mike.....Mike comes, turns out hes not the store manager, (another lie)the store manager is Matt. I ask to speak to Matt. Mike told me hes not in( another baldface lie). I spent the better part of my career in retail, and I'm not aware of any retail managers with the weekend off. Mike makes several excuses, including my complaint should be with the delivery company, not Home Depot....I'm sorry, but the check I wrote in August was made out to Home Depot, not some delivery company. Mike tells me the cabinets are in some warehouse only 100 miles away. Are you telling me, a logistics company cant figure out how to get cabinets 100 miles in two weeks ?!?!?! I offered to drive and pick them up. Hell, get me a truck, I'll bring a whole load back.....I turned to leave and who is there but another young man, wearing a orange apron with the name of MATT and STORE MANAGER on it.....Mike lied right to my face !!!! How can I trust anything you say from now on. Matt wasn't very helpful either. , very apologetic, but can offer no resolution.....look, its easy to solve...pick up the phone, call the delivery company, and tell them to send an extra truck this week. I'd like to speak to someone at the district or area level, someone above Matt, it shouldn't take this long to get them the last...

I once bought rolled roofing at Lowe's in Erie but didn't purchase enough so finished off the job with similar priced rolled roofing from this Home Depot. Of course, the rolled roofing material I bought from Home Depot started cracking, crumbling and blistering years before the rolled roofing from Lowes. Also, just this summer(2015) I stopped at the Meadville Home Depot to get a Weber SS grill pan because the Home Depot website indicated they had 4 of them in stock in Meadville. When I arrived there on Friday, there were no Weber grill pans on the shelf. I was told by an employee that they probably had them still in the back in boxessince the truck had just arrived the previous day(Thursday) but he was too lazy to go look and try to get one for me. He told me to come back tomorrow. I left annoyed with his laziness. I went back the next day(Saturday) and was then told they did not have any Weber grill pans in stock even though I told them that the website indicated they had 4 of them. At this point I honestly felt that the weekend crew were ALL just too lazy to go look for them in the back warehouse of the store. I went home, went to the Home Depot website and ordered it online for pick up in Meadville store for the very next morning(Sunday) since online still indicated that there were 4 Weber grill pans in stock in Meadville. Then that next morning(Sunday) I got a call from an assistant manager of the Meadville Home Depot saying they didn't have the exact Weber grill pan that I ordered but would substitute a different one that was shaped a little different. I told them "no thanks". I wanted the square one with high sides, not the rectangular one with low sides. At this point I gave up and ordered the Weber grill pan that I wanted from Lowes and paid to have it shipped to me. You know what? The very next morning( Monday), after getting the call saying Meadville Home Depot didn't have any Weber grill pans on Sunday, I was at a neighboring business, Giant Eagle, so I stopped in at the Meadville Home Depot out of curiosity and there sitting on the shelf sat 4 shiny SS Weber grill pans! The exact model that I had wanted! The exact 4 SS Weber grill pans that they have been claiming not to have for the previous 3 days! I will take my business elsewhere...
Read moreI ordered a new electrical panel that needed to be brought from another store and a RYOBI ONE+ HP 18V Brushless Cordless Compact 3/8 in. Right Angle Drill that stated it was available in store that I planned to pick up then return home to continue working on my project. I paid with several home Depot gift cards and waited for the pick up notification. Turns out though, that the right angle drill was not actually in stock. After trying to figure out what to do and finding out there was no way to just transfer or retrieve a different drill from a different store, they cancelled my order and told me I need to come into the store to get store credit since I bought it with gift cards. So I went in expecting to get my credit back then drive half an hour out of my way to another home depot in order to get the drill I need to finish my project. When I get there I'm told there's no way they can get me my credit yet do to processing the other parts on my order not being finished. And that I should go home and fish my used gift cards out of the trash in case the funds go back to the cards I used. But they won't know whether the funds will go back to my used cards or if I'll have to come back in, most likely tomorrow when the order might have finished processing, to get the credit from them personally. So I end up driving in after being told to come to the store to get the credit back, find out it's not gonna happen, leave to wait for a phone call most likely a day away, and still no drill to use for my project. I'm beyond irrate. I feel like there should have been an easier, and quicker way to deal with this, without jerking me around and leaving...
