East Wing Spa is a hidden treasure in Vienna. Linda Wang and her teammates, Berry, Amy and Nancy are true professionals.
Linda and each member of her team are fully certified massage therapists and offer outstanding massages. Over the last few months, I have tried each member of the team on different occasions and have become a loyal customer and passionate advocate for the spa. The value to cost ratio is, by far, the best I have found in the DC metro area.
I live in Northwest DC and, after discovering East Wing Spa six or so months ago, now prefer to make the weekly drive to Vienna for massages rather than staying nearby. Last weekend, I returned from a business trip to San Francisco exhausted. I booked two hours with Amy and left the spa feeling totally refreshed and relaxed. I slept like a baby!
Two weeks before, I retuned from a similar trip and booked time with Linda. The massage was sublime and I left delighted.
I have found Berry to be a great listener and highly tuned to my needs. After a recent injury to my shoulder, Berry helped me recover quickly.
Because Chinese is the native language of Linda, Berry, Amy and Nancy, it is important to make sure that you visually communicate where you want each massage to focus. I find each member of the team to be enthusiastically open to and willing listen carefully, communicate effectively and tailor massages to my specific needs each day.
I have read other reviews complaining about misunderstandings related to Groupon coupons. I suspect that these are the result of mistranslations of requests and coordination. I say this because I have never had an experience at East Wing where a little patience and effort with cross-language communications has not paid off in spades.

I got all prepped on the bed and everything and she asks dme what time of massage I wanted, I said I didn't know which ones you had so she recommended a "relaxing one" I said sure. WOW, I loved it! I want to start by saying that I have fibromyalgia so my neck and back hurt all the time and I have these "trigger" pain points and are very sensitive and I am prone to migraines. Fei, the lady who did my massage hit all the right spots with the right amount of force, not too much not too little. I am always very sceptical because I've had some that make my pains worse but this one mad eme relax and just be in a better place for several hours even after I left. I Mena in a sense if you know the disease we are always in pain a d being pain free is hard. So now I am a client and try to go weekly or by weekly as it helps my back and neck not to hurt so bad. It has helped my legs and my feet too as those are also pain issues for me. She even gave me the first time a complimentary hot stone massage which I've never had before. Read moreReson why a one star is because I went there not too long ago. I asked through the phone a reflexology and deep tissue massage both one hour. Then when I got there they couldn't understand what I was asking for. I said deep tissue and reflexology. Only they understood the deep tissue. When I asked for when is the reflexology for an hour. I asked it so many times all I got was silence or what? I just gave up at that point and let it ride until the 2 hours were up. 2 hours of deep tissue massage I felt no difference afterwards. She even told me that I had to tip becuz they work hard at the start of the massage. Lady everyone in this works hard not just only you. That's why I get a massage to cut away the stress. If someone can't afford to give you a 20 or 30 dollar tip then deal with it no sense in being upset. They even had a sign on how much of a tip they should get for an hour to 2 hours.
