I ordered the breakfast platter for over $14. I wasnât expecting anything fancy, but I was shocked when it came with frozen-style tater tots and the eggs were completely cold and the yolk was hard. It was honestly inedible. I brought the plate to the counter and mentioned that the eggs were cold, and the staff just responded with, âWhat else?â I asked if I could speak to a manager, but the staff just looked at each other and nudged each other, and I was told the manager wasnât available. It was already unpleasant, but that made it worse.
I explained that the food took a long time to come out and was cold on top of that. The quality wasnât even worth discussing at that point. One of the staff members waved two or three of order sheets in her hand and said, âWe have so many orders, the kitchen is chaos,â which was extremely unprofessional. It was clear that basic customer service was not a priority here. At that point, I asked for a refund.
I already stopped going to this bakery because the prices donât match the quality, but my in-laws were visiting and wanted to try the place, so we went. Unfortunately, it was just as disappointing as before. The avocado sandwich and French toast were also low-quality and poorly prepared. I truly donât understand how they run a business serving food like this.
I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Truly the worst...
Read moreShilla Bakery was such a treat. I kept staring at the beautiful fruit tart instead of eating it, it was too perfectđ The sparkling grapefruit tea was super refreshing, and had a perfect balance of sweet and bitter. Itâs a real challenge to pick a drink, so Iâd recommend looking at the menu beforehand. The bingsoo was huge and we couldnât finish it since we ordered so much. I also tried the truffle mushroom sandwich, and now Iâm at danger of getting the same thing whenever I come back instead of trying new stuff. Highly recommend peach ricotta salad. Please donât look at the cakes first thing if you are a sweet tooth and came in hungry. You might make some choices your waistline wonât approve of. Melon bread was everyoneâs favorite. The bakery gives out free samples of some of their baked goods too. The owner was in-house, making drinks for the customers, and it was really awesome to be able to talk with the person behind the menu. There are other locations of Shilla, because itâs a family business. Will come back...
Read moreI left a 5-star review when Shilla Bakery first opened because I truly wanted to support them. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been extremely disappointing.
A few days ago, I stopped by around 10 a.m. to buy Japanese-style bread, but there was not a single loaf available. I went again today, October 24, around 11 a.m., and once again, there was no bread at all.
Typically, Japanese or Korean milk bread is the most popular item and should be freshly baked and ready in the morning. When I asked an employee why there was no bread even close to lunchtime, they simply said they didnât know â with no effort to explain or help.
Itâs clear that most of the staff have little to no knowledge about the bakery items and seem to care only about selling coffee. The overall management of this Shilla Bakery location feels careless and unprofessional, which is truly disappointing.
I was happy to have a branch close to my home, but at this point, Iâll be going back to Paris Baguette in...
