I normally don't leave reviews but I feel it is necessary this time. This review is not for the services received in the salon. I've always been happy with my treatments. However during a COVID crisis I feel they were too lax when it comes to sanitization protocols. The only slightly consistent thing they were doing was wearing masks. Even then they would take their masks down to eat or drink - that is a contamination hazard. Even if you are asymptomatic - your'e touching your face to remove the mask and potentially touching something that has come in contact with your mouth when you eat or drink - then proceed to touch clients. A couple of the clients had their masks down as well for an extended period of time. Social distancing was not observed. Almost every chair was full. Even at the hair washing station. I saw something about disposable capes in another review - I guess that was temporary because they were using reusable ones which I doubt are cleaned after each client. Chairs were not disinfected between clients nor were their tools cleaned. They were placed right back in the drawer. I saw stylists moving from one station to another without sanitizing hands or changing gloves and touching different clients. Over all - PLEASE DO A BETTER JOB. IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS A COMMUNITY TO STOP THE SPREAD. I came to this appointment because I read the reviews and had a friend come in a few weeks ago and they ensured me proper precautions were being taken. But after arriving and seeing the way the salon is being run I believe the real danger of COVID has been forgotten by the salon owner. If you are concerned with the cost of proper cleaning agents, PPE, and Sanitization methods, please consider the cost of what would happen if a client or a staff member catches COVID in your salon. Again - I really hate leaving negative reviews (that's why I rated 3 stars and not 1) and I love the results from my treatments. But COVID is no joke and should be taken seriously. We all need income and cannot keep the economy closed - but please do everything you can to minimize the risk associated with reopening salons. Other states are starting to shut down again - and that would mean even more financial stress if salons shut down again. No one wants that. Be...
Read moreI initially spoke to Tony over IG and asked to make an appointment with him with included a consultation and possible same day service if I decided to move forward. When I arrived they didnât have my appointment but I met with Tony anyway. I showed him two photos; a light copper, and darker copper. I said Iâd like something in between. My hair was medium brown with blonde highlights. I go to shampoo bowl and they start washing my hair. Then a different person comes over and works on my hair. I started to smell bleach. I ask what theyâre doing. I didnât know they had finished washing my hair. They say theyâre bleaching it. I was confused. I didnât expect them to bleach my whole head. Since i already had highlights I expected him to foil it as not go over the already lightened pieces and risk breakage. I had a girl and two men working on my hair at the bowl for about an hour. My neck was hurting and I was super uncomfortable. I finally get up and am ushered to a salon chair where a fourth person starts blow drying my bleached and broken hair. Then with bare hands he slathers on bright orange hair dye. I assumed it wouldnât be this bright once rinsed. They left it on for about 40 mins, then we go back to the shampoo bowl, they wash it out, and toner on and left my again with my head in the bowl for another 30 minutes. Finally I got to go sit down again, a fifth person blow drys my hair. Tony finally came over after all of this and was more concerned with filming himself cutting my hair than doing a good job. When I got home I still had split ends, totally hacked and uneven layers, broken hair, color completely uneven. My ends were light orange and my roots were super neon orange. A week later it all faded, but my roots stayed neon. It was nothing at all like the photos I showed him. If youâre going to bleach someoneâs entire head you should let them know beforehand so they can decide if they want to risk the damage or not. Their IG is filled with beautiful work so I donât understand why I got such a poor service. I feel very disappointed and sad my hair is so damaged now. I finally went back to dark brown bc it was the only way to...
