My husband and I visited the store December 23 in search of a new wedding band for me. We were serviced by Brian who helped us find a band. We knew before we got there the band would need to be resized to fit. Brian told us that because it was around 12pm that their were already too many people in front of us for resizing and it was based off first come first serve. He then told us we would need to come back for resizing and it is best to get there when the store first opens to be first for resizing. My husband asked Brian why we couldn’t leave the band and just come back when it was ready in a few days because we lived so far. He told us again no, that they do not keep rings overnight and we couldn’t be added to the line of resizing because it first come first serve daily. He also mentioned before leaving that if we got the ring resized somewhere else closer to us that the warranty would be forfeited so we paid and left with out too small ring. I called the location Friday December 27th to find out how many people were lined up for resizing before attempting to go again. The woman on the phone said we have about 5 people waiting and it takes a few hours so I told her no problem I would come Monday or Tuesday. She also said to me, get here when we first open since it is first come first serve. So we got up early today and headed there, we arrived at 10:15am right after opening. We were told by an associate upon entering that there were 8 rings already in the queue and we would need to come back again. I immediately asked for the manager. Eventually Kathy came over explaining that they were backed up and we would need to come back again. We showed her the date on our receipt and told her Brian said we could not leave the ring to be placed in line for resizing and were told to get there when they opened not once but twice. Her only response was, “I’m not sure why he said that, he isn’t working right now”. She could not accommodate us or make things right after the huge inconvenience they caused and the lies we were told. My husband had enough and asked Kathy for a refund since nothing could be done. She went and spoke with another manager in the back who granted the refund. We are incredibly disappointed because we traveled one hour back and forth twice and all Brian cared about was a sale. He lied to us and had us take the ring when we could have left it on the 23rd and came back when it was resized and ready. We will never again shop here and if you decide to, be sure to double check information before purchasing because of...
Read moreJewelry Exchange - Villa Park 10 minutes ago This business is a complete FRAUD! They stole my bracelet! From the store to the Corporate off CEO they are crooked and need to be prosecuted. They lie and they pass you off from salesperson to salesperson with no one being honest to accountable. I took my 4.95 carat bracelet to have all of the links reinforced. Wore my bracelet twice and it broke. So therefore they took my money and didn't do the repairs. Fast forward 4/2022 I took my bracelet back to them and told them my bracelet broke again after they supposedly repaired it. They took my bracelet back in for repairs. 4/26 I called and checked on the status of my repairs. Two days later, I received a call from Kathy the manager telling me that my bracelet was lost. They told me I can come and pick one up or they would make one exactly like mine but they would get back with me in a week or so. When they got back in touch with me after about two weeks, they told me my bracelet was ready, so I was not given an option to pick one out. Went to pick the bracelet up, it was missing the safety chain. So bracelet had to be sent out again for the safety chain another 2-4 weeks. When I finally went to pick the bracelet up, the frame of the bracelet was very small the diamonds looked very tiny and they included a very long thin safety chain. It appeared to be a child's bracelet. Called corporate talked to Mark Doddridge who stated that the frame of the bracelet was much smaller than my original one and to send it back ASAP. So you see, they knowingly tried to deceive me. Mark stated that due to the year that I purchased my bracelet in 2005 that they no longer carried that frame and that if he had to give me a 7-8 carat bracelet no expenses to me he would to compensate for my losses. They did have my exact frame in the store but they were unwilling to put the 4.95 carat diamonds in the frame. After that date Mark stopped taking my calls and I spoke with Moein, and Gino. The two stated that they were willing to make me a different design or I could go in the store and pick out one. I was unwilling to take a different design. I went in the store and picked out one and they intimidated and bullied me into spending 1532.00 to get my bracelet back otherwise I would not have anything. So their intent was to steal my bracelet and force me into spending a large sum of money or taking one of far less value than my...
Read moreBeware, beware, beware of Any Jewelry Exchanges. Did I say "BEWARE".... This place is a HUGE RIP OFF...I just purchased a $500 supposed Lab made diamond wedding band from them 4 days ago. I gave it to my wife for Christmas and she noticed it had numerous sharp edges on the band. It was snagging on her clothes etc. Besides she really didn't care for it. So we brought it back this morning. Bought it on the 20th, and today is the 26th. They laughed in our faces and said, read your receipt. I didn't look at the receipt but again said, I just bought this Monday. And again he laughed at us and said, read the receipt. Sure enough in ting print it says No Returns. But we could get store credit. Honestly, by looking in their cabinets. The Jewelry at Target looks nicer. Why would I want more Crap from their Crappy jewelry. I said we want our money back. And of course we had, not only the counter person laughing at us. But the store Mgr. As well. So now we're in the process of disputing it with Mastercard. Unfortunately Mastercard already paid them. But we're going to fight this. That Bullcrap...$500 is still a lot of money and these Jewelry Bandits are selling garbage jewelry. I took this piece of garbage to a Real Jewelry store in town. And he concurred that his store wouldn't sell such a LOW quality piece of jewelry after he examined it with his eye piece. He also mentioned that they didn't even sell my 14 carat gold ring. It was only 10 carat and terribly manufactured. He even said his store would NEVER sell such LOW END jewelry. So you've been warned...BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE of ANY Jewelry Exchange anywhere... You'd be better off at the jewelry counter at Walmart or Target and still get a better quality piece of jewelry. YOU'VE...
