Wall Drug 80ft Dinosaur Advertisement — Attraction in Wall

I gave a fairly rare 5 stars on this Wall Drugs Dinosaur. He's a big boy and you can see him from a long ways off. They say he's 80ft high. It's the uniqueness of this dinosaur and that it's fun, is why I gave it 5 stars. We stoped to visit for a little bit. There was a nice picnic table to relax and have a picnic if you want. I really appreciate that Wall Drugs would erect such a fun place. Even if it is really just an advertising gimmick. Folks can use and enjoy it without having to pay. You can see this from both lanes of I 90. Although it is on the west bound side. It's off of exit 110. It's just a fun place to stop and visit. I bet it gives folks a smile just...

I can't believe I've not reviewed this old guy before this. The Wall Drug 80ft Dinosaur Advertisement is a HUGE South Dakota/Black Hills and Badlands road trip icon. I've been going by this beacon of freedom for fifty years and stopped to pay my respect every trip. He's not perfect but he is unique and has a ton of character. He's "old school" road tripping at it's best. Combine it with Wall Drug and you have a combination that cannot be beat. They also offer picnic tables to dine in his shadow. Every time I see this dinosaur I get excited. One reason is I am almost to Wall Drug. Second reason, I am at the Badlands. Third reason, this is the most important reason, I try and bet my run time to the dinosaur every year. My husband fuels at the gas station by the dinosaur. I always make him the bet I can run to the dinosaur and back before he gets done fueling. I have cut my run time down every year.
