Parking Area and Silver History Site — Attraction in Wallace

Set aside an hour for this. My family will stop here every time. It's interesting and refreshing. The kids can access the river. Be careful to stay on the edge, but let them scoot down and get close with supervision. GIve the kids time here. The outdoor museum is like history coming together with the modern day. Your kids will consider a job in mining after going through all the little exhibits. It rounds out our trip through Idaho which will always be a stop at the Sunshine memorial, the Gold and Crystal mine in Kellogg, our favorite hotel in Kellogg which is Fairbridge, and this outdoor park that is just a breath of fresh air after a lot of driving. One of our favorite rest spots on this stretch of I-90. You can walk down to the stream, walk through all the amazing pieces of mining equipment. Don't miss the yellow train cars in the back - classic spot for kid pictures!! There is also a huge building back there with more to see and a dog park. Amazing rest stop I have ever seen in my life. My little family and spent about a couple hours here exploring & learning about trains during the mining industry if you're into that.
