Heard good things and drove an hour out of our way on our trip up north to come see it. We arrived and went to walk in and an older gal was sitting outside saying they told her to leave because they were closing early. She seemed a bit upset since they were not polite when telling her to leave when she walked in, especially as they were supposedly open for another 2 hours according to their sign. Only reason I know this was because on our way in she told us what happened and they put their closed sign on as she was speaking to us. So we didn’t get to see anything unfortunately. Definitely bummed we weren’t able to check out what our friends recommended to us as we heard good things. First hand impression seeing how the older gal was treated wasn’t ideal. Read moreVery disappointed, we booked a room in Kellogg for a mini vacation. Rode the gondola (awesome experience) then did a tour of mine in Wallace (highly recommend), then noticed Oasis Museum is closed on Monday and Tuesday so we stayed another night so we could go to the Oasis Museum and tour. Even though door said and website says they are open on Wednesday (opening at 11:00) they were not open. I even texted the number they had on the window asking if they planned on opening. Never did get a reply, so very disappointed, they need to update the website hours to reflect what the hours the truly are open. We finally left at 11:19 and as we were leaving noticed another couple was also waiting...
Read moreSo fascinating. Very glad to see this awesome piece of history so well managed. It’s an uncomfortably beautiful feeling looking at everybody’s personal items. Feels like you knew them. I was a bit skeptical on the legitimacy of this place and it’s items, but leaving, I am confident that everything is authentic. It truly was like walking into the past. This place fell into the right hands, as the tour guide seemed very passionate. She had lots of information on the area, and the ladies that worked here. The tour is worth the price, as you are not only walking into the world that was so important for the people of Wallace, but supporting and making sure this museum will stay for...
