We called ahead. We were told that a table would be waiting for us. When we arrived, 7:50pm, we were informed that we had minutes to order (something that would have been good to know when we called to see if there was a table available). Because I work in the industry, we had our order ready, including deserts. While we tried to apologize for our lateness, the waitress looked annoyed and frustrated. We got all our food with in minutes of each course. So we had 8 hands on our table with in minutes, influxing our table with many people and no customer service. It was extremely frustrating. We didn't get appetizer plates, or refills on our cocktails ( one which was awful and if asked we would have said so). Basically we were pushed out of the restaurant even though locals were there drinking. I feel that maybe they lost sight of the experience they are trying to provide. If they were not wanting tables before closing time, close earlier or take the business and respect the process. Being that my daughter is a chef and myself, who has ran restaurants and owned a bar, we were totally blown away by the lack of professionalism. My husband had to ask the people to leave us to eat our dinner, not because they were asking about our needs but pushing us through our meal. We ate and left in 30 minutes. If given an opportunity, we would have another round of drinks and spent more. Meaning more money for the business and more tip for the server. But instead of tipping our normal 30 to 50 percent, we left 20 percent as a tip. That is NOT a good tip from us. It was a total disappointment. Food was okay. Manager could tell we were disappointed, yet did nothing to try to remedy the situation. I hope this post can allow...

If only the food and the service were equal to the atmosphere. Our group was excited to give the Goat a try. The host was very pleasant, the interior was charming and comfortable and the menu items were interesting. We ordered, enjoyed a glass of wine and chatted about our amazing day on the trails. Then we realized it had been an hour and our food had not arrived...and our waitress had not checked in. The next time we were able to catch her eye, she assured us that our meals were coming right up. It was another half hour until we saw our food. I don't know this for sure, but I believe our order was never placed with the kitchen and she was not fessing up to or giving any explanation. Anyway, the pizzas were nothing special and the other food was just as so-so. We never received any acknowledgement regarding the long delay, just the bill. There are not too many options in Wallace, but from my experience, if you are looking for anything more than a glass of wine, I would...

We were greeted with the friendly hello when we walked in. We sat at the bar to the left of the door, which was not clean at all.... We ordered a couple beers, artichoke dip, Buffalo sliders and Cajun pasta.... The artichoke dip was $9.99 the Buffalo sliders were $12.99 and the pasta was $14.99.... $2 extra if you wanted a cheese on your sliders and extra money for any proteins to the 15 dollar plate of noodles also.... When the artichoke dip came out it came with a few carrots some broccoli and a couple pieces of some bread.. The broccoli was limp and soft like it was almost going bad. For 15 dollars (added cheese) The sliders came out completely bare, just bun and meat.... There was one single onion ring on the plate....that made me laugh.... There were a couple gentlemen that asked how we were doing but they were not our server and our service was almost non existent.... Would I go back for the food? Never. Would I go back for the...

The Fainting Goat is, in my opinion, the BEST restaurant in Wallace, ID! I tried many of their dishes and they were ALL fantastic! From the brick oven pizzas, to their soups, Cajun pasta, fried pickle spears and even their onion rings, you absolutely cannot go wrong picking anything off their menu! The owner, Drew, and his staff, consisting of his wife, his sons, who are both wait staff and cooks, to his dedicated servers, Amy, Kinsey and Sharon, among others, make this a fun, inviting and welcoming atmosphere! (Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try any of their wines, which are plentiful, or other adult beverages, because I usually stopped by at lunch while working, but it's a nice place to just enjoy a glass of wine, or two, also!

Absolutely love this restaurant! We came to Wallace on a random road trip and discovered it. Now it’s a must to stop in and eat anytime we come through. Maddie is so attentive and her beer recommendations are great. They have a large selection of local beers and wine. We get the Thai chicken pizza every time we come. Today I tried the Chefs soup of the day, my MIL got the French onion soup both were delicious. We got a basket of fries with all 4 dipping sauces offered (2 are incl at no charge & 2 were .50 ea). So crispy and seasoned well. My husband got the wedge salad. Super fresh! If you’re in town be sure and stop here.

Nice eatery in Wallace. The atmosphere was great. We had a lovely bottle of Huckleberry Blush local to the region. Our appetizer was superb - fried mozzarella with a basalmic reduction, pesto, and marinara as dipping choices. Each one was a taste treat. Our entree was the baked ziti. This alone could have been a great dish, but ours was watery and lacking the flavor it could have had. When the waitress asked, we were honest. The manager came to visit our table and apologized for that, thanking us for bringing it to their attention. I look forward to another visit when next we visit the area.
