Handicap accessible! Some of the areas in the museum are tight, but seem to me to be manageable. Wow!! What a great museum! They have a huge selection of antiques to see while you are visiting. There is a small walkable tour inside with so many items, you will need to make another trip back. If you are not familiar with mining practices, this museum will answer many questions for you. The staff was very nice and helpful too!!

Really neat museum, cheap for my family to visit ($10) and a lot of information and artifacts. We spent about 3 hours here, but could have stayed all day if we had arrived earlier. After they closed we went back to the mining park and looked at the displays there, including the biggest Ingersoll-Rand air compressor I think I have ever seen!

Can't say I'm all that interested in mining .... but I am a wildland firefighter and I have a lot of interest in the 1910 Big Burn, there is a modest display dedicated to that massive fire .... the cool thing is they have the original Pulaski. So here's a selfie with me and Ed Pulaski's original Pulaski.

The staff here are friendly and welcoming. The museum itself is quite small, but there's so much to learn about and see. My kids absolutely loved the scavenger hunt the staff gave them. It really got them to take an interest in the descriptions of all the items and what purpose they served. The motion sensor exhibit was quite neat and lent itself to immersing visitors in the "mining experience." My grandpa bought me some vials of gold and silver as well as some ash when I was young. I always treasured these, and now my kids have had the same special experience. They proudly display their vials on their shelf at home and talk about the museum from...

A charming facility with very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and attentive staff. The exhibits were so well presented and complete that my only complaint is that we did not have the time in our daily schedule to fully appreciate all that was there to see. I bought one book and I ought to have bought six. We were charmed by the town and delighted...
