In this review I will cover -Flavors/quality of food -Cost & Value of the Breakfast -What could have been better
Flavors & Quality of food: May I say I am a connasour of Diner food (in all humility) ehhm just look to me and no other reviewer for the 411, okay? Okay. 🙃
Eggs Benedict: The Hollandaise sauce is made in house, and honestly the most like my dad's homemade Eggs Benedict. The texture was consistant, the flavors brightened with lemon juice, which compliments the creaminess of it all quite well. 2 minor improvements that can be made; If the english muffins are made more crispy like if they were broiled. 1 solid slab of ham instead of 2 pieces under the Egg.
Huckleberry Waffle: This came with a Huckleberry compote, and huckleberry syrup. Typically restaurants will skimp out on expensive components of a dish, which defeats the purpose of that dish. The Brooks done did me right. Peoud of you guys! Huckleberrys are like gold and they still covered the wafle in Huckleberry Compote and it came with an extra little side dish of this berry gold! The foundation of this dish (the waffle) was excellent too, definitely homemade.
I base my reviews more on the flavors, atmosphere, and vibes i get before the price. This is a cute little small town diner restaurant joint with exceptional friendliness. The staff is warm and inviting like you hope human beings to be, but seems to lack in bigger city settings. This meal was actually 2 meals. it cost $27 and some change. Well worth the cost because of the value.
I don't think there's really much of anything that could have been better. great people, great food.

Read moreJust ate here after a long day of hunting . The waitress was young, and not meant to waitress due to her lack of being able to tell her kitchen staff to fix their mistakes. My husband, and I ordered The Big combo. Which is $30. Per plate. Comes with ribeye steak, fish (your choice salmon or Cod )and shrimp either deep-fried or sauteed ,chicken breast ,and a baked potato! I requested my steak to be medium rare it came out completely done like overdone, my fish was Cod and it was rubbery my chicken breast never showed up until the meal was already over which I sent my steak back and she apologized and said she would tell the chef so he never does it again but they never replaced the steak and my baked potato was microwaved microwaved and way over cooked ! She did however take 20% off the bill which still left it at $60 and all I ate was the salad bar into shrimp that I could barely choke down ! The saddest part was that the owner was there and they didn't fix anything and none of their food was edible very disappointed! I gave it one star because I had to to write...
Read moreThe best breakfast I have ever had is in Wallace, Idaho at ThebBrroks Restuaraunt in the Brooks Hotel. The Chicken Fried Steak is superb and the home made gravy is quite the pairing. You also get eggs, hasbrowns and toast and let me say the hasbrowns are amazing and they taste like they just melt in your mouth. Tiffany is an amazing human being and server and she and I got along well from the beginning. She keenly noticed how I took shots of the food and its amazing presentation and shared that with her boss Emily. I met with Emily and she shared with me how they spent time, energy and money to perfect the breakfast offerings. Bravo Emily and team!
Brooks Restuaraunt is a MUST GO and I know you will find, as I did that the care and dedication and love can never tasted...
