Love Walnut Creek's downtown, day and night. The city keeps it super clean, the trees and plants seem all to be flowering and thriving, and Main Streets is well lit. Plus access to free & secure wifi via ConnectWC. Great but pricy ($$$) places to eat. And the three water fountains are super neat. See's is tucked away in Broadway Plaza (across from Boudin), and Safeway, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are just a short trip down the street. Best free parking spots: small parking lot by Habit Burgers. Next best: library's underground parking lot (free before 10 a.m. and after 8 p.m.; empty spots w/ blinking green meters means still have $ in 'em) (and use the elevator instead of walking up/down the ramp). Third best: Civic Park after 4 p.m. Also if you're over 50, join the Senior Center for $15/year. You'll get free Lyft rides, plus van rides are $1 each way in WC; plus fun activities like ski club, walking buddies, Creakers softball, bicycling, card games, maj jong, movies, sing-alongs, craft...

There’s a nice big movie theater there as well. Very family friendly. There’s even a toy store and several pastry and ice cream shops. It...

The town is growing though, apartments and condos going up daily. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about that yet, as I dont want the picturesque city to get lost in modernizing. Go visit there when you have a free weekend. They always have...
