The now lost Wal Lex recreation center at this site defined the area and era. It once housed two separate buildings containing bowling alleys, a large building dedicated to indoor roller skating, and and outdoor facility for miniature golf and soft serve ice cream. We used to go bowling every Saturday morning with about 500 other kids and competed with each other on teams in leagues. Some people could do things on skates that are hard to imagine. Lots of fun and a time now long lost and that only lives on in memory. The property now houses retail shops that meet the practical needs of their customers but will never leave lasting life...
Read moreI love this mall, we go at least once a week. Grassfields is kinda expensive, but really good. I usually eat there once a year. But the plaza has USPS full serve Post Office, as well as FedEx, The Paper Store (always great finds) Dunkies ( my go to) as well as BK( that location treats us well), TJ Maxx (they change there products pretty regularly), a dry cleaner, dentist, and a liquor store ( I don't drink..sorry- but my inlaws like it, well enough). Oh yeah a hairdresser, my mother in law frequents, Verizon, AAA with a full service license service if you HAVE Triple A, was worth it for me!, and a small bank. Think I got...
Read moreI just moved across from this shopping center so I'm not sure if someone who lives further would feel the same way. I do all my shopping in this area. I love that there is a TJ MAXX and Staples. I also like the CVS as well. There is also a Fed ex store or maybe UPS. Then a hair Cuttery (a great upscale salon with cheap prices) then a kitchen store and The Paper Store. Also down about an eighth of a mile there is another shopping center with star market. There is so much in these two strip malls. I don't drive so having all these stores next to each other...
