FDR Memorial Stone — Attraction in Washington

The FDR Memorial is a wonderful--and much overlooked--memorial in the City. The story it tells of the Depression and War--and the incredible leadership of FDR--with water, and with the powerful words of President Roosevelt are incredibly relevant to our present times. Visiting it at night used to be a profound experience. Unfortunately much of the lighting is not working, leaving many of the fountains/pools in near total darkness. Most importantly FDR's words that are carved in stone cannot be read in the dark--a lot is lost when you have to use the flashlight on your cellphone to read the inscriptions. The NPS should be ashamed for allowing such an important memorial to fade into darkness at night. Please hire an electrician and buy some...
