Festival Park — Attraction in Washington

My daughter and son-in-law had their wedding ceremony at Festival Park. It was beautiful! We loved the scenery surrounding the gazebo. We were a little worried about the parking for a large wedding but it didn’t seem to be a problem. While the wedding party took pictures we had large yard games, an ice cream stand and a photo booth for the guest to enjoy before the reception which was held at the Civic Center. Just a perfect spot on the Pamlico River in a beautiful town called Washington NC. This relaxing park is named after its late great mayor Mac Hodges. One of many tributes to him in this wonderful town. Some of the nicest people and some of the most amazing scenery in the state exist in this town and surrounding areas. Excellent area for dining, walking on the Riverwalk, and a small playground for children. A boardwalk also allows for a beautiful walk by the river so you can see wildlife and a variety of boats.
