Val’s Gourmet Baked Goods — Local services in Washington

Stopped by on 1/17/24, and my I didn't leave disappointed. My plan was to pick up one dessert (carrot cake); however, I left with several desserts. Now, I must brag on one in particular. The banana nut bread was incredible and delightfully delicious. She spared nothing on the ingredients. Nuts in every mouthful and very moist. You can tell that Val takes pride in her desserts. To Vals credit, she also has a great personality and customer service. Once I taste the carrot cake and apple turnover, I will review it.

Val, I encourage you to keep pushing forward and remember as we discussed to get on IG and all the other social media hot spots. We've got to promote this well-kept secret in Washington N.C. I definitely will continue to take that drive from Pitt Co. to get these desserts. It is definitely worth the drive. You know, they say, "A church alive is worth the drive." Celebrated my mom's birthday at the end of August. Bought a cake from Val's Gourmet Baked Goods. The cake was a success and thankfully it was served close to the end because the cake became a talking piece. Simple design was all that was needed. Happy mouths and tummies. There wasn't a drop leftover. I also was impressed by the family friendly service I received by the wonderful couple. Thank you both for helping my mother's birthday celebration a success. I applaud you and pray blessings for your future continued success. Located in Washington, NC aka Little Washington in a quaint window store with other small businesses. I decided to get my wedding rehearsal cake and wedding cake from Vals! They have a lemon blueberry cheesecake cake that is absolutely my favorite! We got the lemon blueberry cheesecake cake for the rehearsal dinner! Everyone loved it. For our wedding, we decided to do a chocolate “naked cake”. The cake was delicious with the most perfect texture and it was delivered right on time! The only complaint that I have is the cake was a little crooked and dropped more as the afternoon went on!
