Greater Goods Georgetown Marijuana Weed Dispensary DC — Attraction in Washington

Before they turned medical, this was my go-to spot. You can’t really beat $21 eighths, and my ash always burned white which made me feel reassured. However, since they went medicinal per DC law (which lacks sense as recreational is legal in DC but there are now 0 recreational shops), finding weed has been made extremely difficult. I was told by one of their works that applying for a medical card would be easy and “free”. That was incorrect as it requires an appointment with your provider and a recommendation for prescription as well as $3-400+ to actually purchase the card/application. Wish they picked up shop and moved elsewhere in an attempt to stay recreational, but I get it’s not as simple as that.

UPDATE: Editing this due to Google not allowing responses to the merchant when they reply. Wanted to clarify this place is amazing. The 3 stars isn't really a reflection on them per say, but rather recreational accessibility in general for all of the city. This shop has a way of memorizing their patrons and welcoming them in a way that makes them feel appreciated. Hoping laws change soon so they are able to once again provide to all patrons whether that be for medicinal purposes or recreational. Overall a fine experience- extremely kind and helpful staff, clean and cute shop, and an ok variety.

I'm giving it 3 stars because I purchased 6 pre-rolled joints and they weren't well wrapped, very difficult to smoke, and excess product was wasted as a result. Paid $60 (to include tip), so I expected a higher quality, professionally rolled product for that price.

I also didn't think it was the best quality of cannabis overall (they said it was a blend of many things, which made it more difficult to know what I was getting). This was disappointing, but I understand we're crawling and not walking with the legalization process. ;)

Lastly, the shop is in an odd location, and GPS was a little confusing to find - just FYI. I actually liked that because it naturally blended in with the other shops on the street.

Again, I understand my bias and thought the shop and staff were great, just want folks aware of what you're walking into first...
