Be aware of overcharging! They charged my credit card twice. The 1st charge was for the consumption, then the server made a second charge for 20 dollars and change that was not authorized. Keep your eyes open and don’t your guard down! They will steal your money right under your nose! I went back to the restaurant to find out what happens. After researching the slips for the night and not finding the one matching the second unauthorized charge for over 20 dollars, the manager told me he was going to call me after talking to the server and get back to me. A chash refund on the same amount was given to me. This transaction to me has fraud written all over it. So far I have not being contacted by the manager. I will contact my credit card company and make them aware of the incident. If something similar has happened to you, leave a review and contact your credit card company. That’s the only hope we have of crooks in the business will face any type of consequence for stealing...
Read moreWent to Marx Cafe after dinner and was met with tremendous amounts of disrespect and snobbery from the bartender named Will. He stated himself that none of the cocktails are any good and he was lacking materials to make them. The drink we asked for was a simple rum with mint(Che and the Cuban). I don't think it was racism, but I am not sure what it was. The bartender seemed like he chose to single us out and treated us far worse than his other patrons. On a positive note, the bar quickly apologized through email when i explained this incident.
Read moreI used to love this place but under the new ownership I feel that its best to spend my money at Salvadorean place across the street. The new Argentine owner always gives me the dirty look as if I don't belong there. I also noticed he pointed me out to the bartender...unfortunate for him as a former bartender, I know when the owner points at a client...its usually a "don't serve" attitude. I don't get drunk because I only drink non alcoholic beer, yet get disrespected. I guess its because of my dark complexion in skin and look indigenous. Historically speaking Argentines don't like indigenous nor blacks. They have exceptions. Manny has been my bartender for a long time and mainly go in to just hang out there...but think it is time to end that as well. Why pay to be...
