To me there are two areas of gardens here - outside and inside (conservatory). This review is for the outside. As you might guess this garden is being constantly redesigned to match current trends (right now that is pollinator gardens, which everyone has). Their is a First Ladies rose garden, that is underwhelming, and regional gardens. I thought the regional garden idea was good and I was excited to see how they handle where I am from - the Rocky Mountain west. But it wasn't to be found. They only have east coast regions. To my mind, if the ENTIRE garden was regional gardens that would be novel and worth seeing, you know, for visitors from throughout the US. But as it is now, it is a Frankenstein.

Good collection of plants, and though there is not a lot of pedagogical material, some "rooms" are dedicated to specific plant use like medicine, or areas like desert or Mediterranean. Certainly a pleasant and free of charge time. Recommend to push to the Bartoldi fountain, the arrangement of plants is gorgeous, plus the incredible view on the Capitole dome in...
