In the undescended nut of summer heat, my thoughts always drift back to Constable. Would that my dear love were here to drink in the dangling fruit that swing breathlessly in the breeze, encoding their fractiously vibratory desires against the hot, hot, hot, hot, hot air.

Of course, I have been banned from all botanic gardens after Brooklyn's most performatively introverted* turtle reported me to the Attorney General for defamation. He wouldn't even take the stand himself** but that is neither here nor there, as Constable was wont to respond when I asked him whether he was standing on top of Ayo Edibiri's Interstellar Dictation Guide or whether he had thrown it over there.

But even from my legally mandated hundred foot distance away, how the flowers glowed! How the crowds gathered to escape the destitute morality of the Capitol in search of some hope that life could be worth living again and a fountain could actually provide drinkable water. How the leaves shone, how the bark seemed to scream to me with its eyes, "LET ME OUT! I WANT TO BE FREE!" Alas, if TikTok has taught me anything, it's that Constable has changed his passwords.

A bee trying to enter the glass (irony much?*) dropped a verse for me to memorialize his short life. I dropped it, so here's this:

Who knew it could be so hard to bind your Self to yourself? Some swell of mystical Doom promising righteousness, eating from Your soul until it drips to a trickle, Lonely and slow, intimate and supple, Some translation of a lost language that Would say - come closer for I have bread and I would never let you starve - as begat Loaf unto loaf and fish unto fish and Ashes to ashes and fear unto sand.

It's from my adopted grandmother, a mouse wearing a bonnet and seventeenth in line to the British...

Title: A Mesmerizing Masterpiece at the U.S. Botanic Garden

Review:

My recent visit to the fountain at the United States Botanic Garden was an enchanting experience that I will cherish forever. As I strolled around this magnificent marvel of artistry, I was captivated by the fountain's serene beauty and intricate design. With every step, I became more immersed in the tranquility and elegance it exuded. The opportunity to capture its splendor through numerous photos and video clips was a photographer's dream come true. This fountain is not just a piece of art; it's a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship that can transform a simple garden into a mesmerizing oasis. I left feeling rejuvenated and inspired, with memories that will last a lifetime. A visit to this fountain is an absolute must for anyone seeking peace and beauty in the...

Home to the Bartholdi Fountain, designed by the same Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi as the Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World), Bartholdi Park (frequently referred to as Bart Park) has great views of the Capitol and cultivated gardens around the fountain. The kitchen garden is spectacular in summer, but cool season crops allow for interest all year. There are regional plants such as bog and carnivorous in a rill, and other ones of interest around the few thousand square-foot park. This is still open despite the pandemic, so it definitely worth checking out if around...

I loved the fountain! The design was beautiful and peaceful. The stunning displays and tranquil atmosphere made for a perfect day out. Loved the different flowers and plants in the garden. We enjoyed exploring the gardens and conservatory which is right next to the fountain garden area. Can't wait to come back and take more photos again. Perfect spot for relaxation. They have tables and chair too, you can bring food and enjoy the beauty of the garden nature at the same time.

Outdoor and across the street extension of the U.S. Botanical Gardens. Has a kitchen garden (great for the kids to identify their veggies), the Bartholdi Fountain with a great scenic background of the greenhouses and Congress, lots of room to run around, and a lot of seating and shade. Not as crowded as the Botanical Gardens themselves and is a nice place for a short rest after a long day of walking.
