This is my first time here and I'll say, I thoroughly enjoyed the bibimbap that I ordered. For that don't know what it is, it's a Korean dish with white rice, marinated thinly, sliced grilled beef, with an assortment of vegetables (spinach, bean sprouts, lettuce, etc.), and a fried egg on top. It usually includes some red pepper paste for a bit of heat. The picture below is after I ate some...the portion is generous, in my opinion.

Currently, the hot bar is closed, but they do have a salad bar (pay per pound of food). I got a few kimbap (Korean rice rolls)

For those still needing to come into the office to work, it's a good choice away from the McDonalds and Subway due to...

I wish to give 3.5 stars, but it's not 4 for sure. Star for opening early, having hot and cold salad bars, making sandwiches for order. Star for having Pho and Bibimbap on the list. Star for 25 discount after 3.30PM. Friendly service, but the place is a little greasy. Sometimes food is overcooked, Pho is just warm and Bibimbap miss any flavor. The place is inside the same building as the Federal Center metro station, just on another corner of the 3rd street. If you can see railroad tracks - go to the bridge over 3rd street - Cafe will be there. Also as of now (January 2020) the building is under renovation and Cafe is hard to see due to...

I recently visited Cafe 59 in Washington, DC, and it was a great experience! The cafe is clean, and the staff are very kind and welcoming. It seems like it's under new management, and they've done a wonderful job with the renovations so far, with plans for even more improvements in the future. The coffee is incredibly fresh, and the menu offers a great variety of options, including fresh fruit and delicious dessert. I was there between breakfast and lunchtime, and they offered a seamless transition between the two menus with plenty of tasty choices. Overall, everything was fresh, delicious, and highly enjoyable. I highly...

Pho was good but the veggie option only had bean sprouts so I asked fr extra veggies and the penny pincher manager nicely showed me to the veggie bar where I grabbed a few bell pepper, onions and mushrooms slices. That totaled .29 cents ad she then proceeded to charge me 2.81 for then when she added to the total of the soup which I paid. But it's the principle of how she treats her costumers and she's the manager ๐Ÿ˜ฌ also didn't give me more Sriracha even though it was such a little amount in the tiny container. Sad attitude ๐Ÿ˜ช
