The staff is really nice. They allowed me to use their store phone to contact other stores as I searched for the best price for repair.I decided to return the favor and get a service despite having the repair done elsewhere. So this review is about their phone wrapping and screen protector installation. I dropped my phone and the screen required replacement. After getting my screen repaired at a more affordable store, there was still damage to the glass back I wanted covered. So I went back to Mobile2Mobile to get what they call a phone wrapping. Essentially, it's just covering it with a skin like d-brand and it definitely is something I have done and could do on my own but like I said, I wanted to pay it forward. I only wanted my phone wrapped. It costs $59. The selections of skins aren't great or varied. I was prompted to "get the front wrapped too". I had no idea what that meant. My phone has a notch but beyond that is all screen. So I asked like a screen protector? The sales person said yeah. My response was no thanks. Don't we all buy and install them ourselves? He went on about how the screen protector is neoflex and the best yadda yadda and hard to install because of a spray and I'm like ok. It's $20 extra bringing the total to $79 but a screen protector would have been $10 anyway and I don't have to spend 5 minutes placing it myself. So I got the screen protector.
The wrap was ok. The back was covered mostly. There was a slight peaking of my phone from the bottom perimeter but that was explained away by the salesperson as due to the damage from the drop. No big deal. However, the screen? Was an absolute mess. I could hardly see but the salesperson explained that it will clear up in 24 hours. He said it needed to cure and I gathered it was the spray that distorted the clarity so I'm like fine
I used my phone to get an Uber because he said I can use it immediately like normal but once I got home I left it. When I went to check it the morning after, it had cleared up quite a lot but then I finally noticed the imperfections. There are 2 dust particles trapped beneath the screen. You know like you maybe got dust or lint from your fingertips on the adhesive side of the screen protector with installing? So that's incredibly distracting and I literally just got a new blemish free screen! But the worst part is that the screen protector doesn't even line up to the bezels. So I see this long seam on the right side where the protector doesn't reach the edge of the display or the upper right corner causing the screen protector to be super noticable around the edges. I get it. A salesperson is going to upsell. But the screen protector seriously made my display look worse than it did and now I'm tasked with carefully peeling it off 36 hours later. It's sad that a "professional" can't install a screen protector properly. If you're being pressured into having them install a screen protector for you, be firm. Don't do it. Guaranteed you'll do a better...
Read moreI came to Mobile2Mobile after going to two other repair shops in DC. I should have came here from the starting and saved myself some time!!!
Before I stopped at the other stores, I stopped by the Apple Store to see if they could fix my iPad Mini. After waiting for 30 minutes at the Apple Store, I was told by one of the "Geniuses" that the frame on my iPad was bent and Apple couldn't do anything to fix it. They offered me an option to trade in the iPad and buy a refurbished "recertified" iPad mini for $250 AND I WOULD LOSE MY DATA.
I visited two other stores who's names I will leave out of the review because I'm not looking to defame anyone...but they offered screen replacement which would take 3-5 days and would cost $179! That's almost the price of the iPad! One employee offered to buy it from me for $25 (as he could fix and resell it himself). -_-
I made an appointment on Yelp with Mobile2Mobile, showed up late (I'm always late lol), and they still took care of my iPad. They gave me a 1-2 day window, but called me the next day saying it was ready! NOW THAT IS PRIORITY SERVICE!!!
I spent $129 at Mobile2Mobile. They made sure that my data recovery was possible!!! I got to keep the pictures of my nephew along with all of my important work documents! You can't put a price on that!
THIS is the kind of service that customers want to receive!!! Come to Mobile2Mobile and Ali will take...
Read moreThey replaced the battery on my Apple. I still have to be conscientious of the battery getting too heated and battery life is hardly sufficient. Shortly after getting the battery replaced the screen cracked. I entrusted them to fix the screen since they were close and recommended by someone. 1.5 weeks after getting the screen replaced with the up charge of a screen protector a space in the corner of the screen is starting to black out. I went in to inquire on a possible warranty and he said the $149 repair could be redone for $89. I wouldn’t let them repair the phone for free at this point. After reading one of the other reviews that says Apple Store charges $200 for repairs I initially would’ve just gone there. Update: This is what the charging has been saying for weeks. The guy did call and offer to fix the screen for free but what about the battery that’s heating up? Also the screen is cracking more on the bottom just from everyday wear and tear b/c I haven’t dropped the phone since. Again, I’m concerned to bring it back especially after leaving this honest review bc I just feel like if neither repairs went well the first time then why would it be different? I guess I have to check in with Apple or invest in a new phone. It’s an iPhone 12promax. I also had to purchase a charger from them bc my cord quit working on it but the one in their store did charge it. I’m unsure if that’s...
