Havana On the Hudson Cigars — Attraction in Weehawken

AWFUL! Stay away from this obnoxious clip joint. Easily one of the worst cigar places I’ve been to, and I’ve been to many. I was looking forward to coming here and so disappointed. First, there are no prices listed on any of the cigars (probably because they change them at whim) which is really annoying to have to grab a bunch and find someone to go ask, and when you do they’re not very nice, like you’re bothering them. Then when they do give you the prices, you find out that the sticks are egregiously overpriced, obnoxiously so. One smoke, I was quoted was $10 more than everywhere else I’ve bought it. Why is theirs $10 more, does it have magic dust inside? Then, the pièce de résistance, they told me if I wanted to smoke there it’d be a 2 cigar minimum. It was me and my friend so it was 2 cigars and she said, “no, 2 per person”. What?! Ahh, I see, 4 overpriced cigars just to sit in your empty lounge that’s nothing special. No thanks! See ya! I had driven by Havana on the Hudson numerous times, as an avid Cigar Aficionado, I just had to stop in and check it out. Boy am I glad I did. From the first visit, Ivan treated me like I had known him all my life, and gave me a warm welcome and said "Make yourself at home." Jennifer is great and very welcoming! All the staff is top notch and I cannot rave enough about them. There is a fine selection of premium cigars to choose from! The walk in humidor is awesome! I met Ramon as well and he also made me feel right at home! I cannot say enough about the staff being so awesome! Fernando introduced me to some amazing cigars! Thank you brother! Awesome! Poor customer service, walked inside and stated I’d like to buy a lighter. The rude, poor customer service from the woman behind the counter was so out of line. “These lighters are too expensive, you’re not going to want this lighter.” Come again… ?? talk about judging a book by its cover, my in law loves cigars he is a HUGE lover of cigars and sadly I couldn’t purchase him a small Christmas gift from my trip to Jersey 🤌🏼 from here due to this employee’s horrible attitude.
